Lovely Stay

We had a lovely time at Destin West. The resort is great for families. This condo was clean and had plenty of room for our family of four. I thought it was bigger than it looked in the photos. And the view was just as good if not better. The beach chairs and wagon were a nice touch. It had everything we needed.

Very nice condo & property

We had a great time. Perfect place for a group of people. We were there for softball Nationals & our team loved the pool & Lazy River. Will definitely come back.

This is an amazing property that we would definitely stay at again. The views of the bay from the balcony are incredible and it is an easy walk over to the beach. We made the walk with 3 kids and a cart full of beach gear and had no issues. Local restaurants are great and you can walk to several.

Perfect family vacation

We had an amazing time in this unit at Destin West. The property is great and we loved staying in Pelican. We had one very minor maintenance issue that was fixed more or less immediately when we texted about it. My whole family loved this trip and we would come back in a heartbeat!

Awesome condo and owner

We stayed for a week in this lovely condo. Views were great, loved the lazy river and stayed in it for hours. Owner provided beach toys and floats, etc, which was nice. Kitchen was well equipped with plenty of dishes, pots and pans, baking and serving dishes. We cant wait to go back!!

We flew in from Chicago. My childhood friend drove in from GA. We had a wonderful time. Close to everything. Condo was well stocked with everything we needed. Thank you so very much! Love the decor as well. So relaxing!

Destin West is the best

We had a great vacation and I would recommend this property to anyone wanting a family friendly getaway. The kids LOVED the lazy river and being so close to the National Seashore, it was easy for Mom and Dad to take a quiet walk. My daughter is still taking about the whale pillows on the bunk. Sometimes the little touches make a difference. The kitchen was also stocked better than many properties we've stayed at in the past, so that was also a nice plus.

Beautiful view

Nice condo. Cleanliness could have been better. Floors were not as clean as they could have been. Steps on bunk beds are very dirty. This is a really nice condo with beautiful views. Just needs a little more attention to the cleanliness. That was a bit disappointing.

Balcony needs a deep cleaning

While the overall cleanliness of the condo was good, the balcony(door trim, door track, floor, table & chairs) were full of mold and mildew. I tried to clean with antibacterial wipes and that did not cut it. I knew it was mold/mildew. Needs a deep clean to get rid of this!

Nice place for family

The unit was not very clean. The floors were dirty as well as the balcony which the floor was covered in sand. The pool cart had empty bottles in it and when I swept I thought there had been a large dog in there cause there was a lot of what looked like dog hair. The resort itself was amazing but I wish the elevators would have been air conditioned. All the guests complained about that. Our first night we had a huge disturbance in 504 and I had to call 911 for the children that were there due to the man and woman fighting.

Location, location, location!

This property is a gem! Kitchen had everything you need to eat “in” while there are plenty of eat “out” places within walking distance. The beach is also within walking distance and the host provided wagon was very helpful. There was also an umbrella and three chairs. (Make sure to bring your own beach towels) We spent quite a bit of time at the pool and lazy river which you will have a beautiful view of from this condo. Water temp was great and the area was kept very clean. The beds were adequate, I’m pretty picky on pillows but managed to find one that I liked. Plenty of towels. Having the washer and dryer was great as we could dry our beach towels each day if we wanted to. The bunk bed mattresses may need replacing soon as the springs could be felt. The place stays nice and cool, also there is a box fan that came in handy in the bunk room. The water pressure is also really good. Really happy we found pelican 505 and would definitely stay there again!

The room wasn't that clean and smelled bad with had to go spend 50 bucks on smelling goods just to get the bad smell out and the bed wasnt that good over all we want be going back. The pool was to strick on drinking around it but let the jids horse play and do want ever they want. We are adults and get treated like we was 2.

Spring Family Vacay

Great location and complex for families with children. Beach access was convenient and the beach is beautiful with a lot of nearby restaurants and activities. The lazy river, the multiple pools and whirlpools were a wonderful feature for adults and children

Christmas stay

We stayed the week of Christmas. The pool was heated and had hot tubs as well. Overall a great time. The room was good. Plenty of wagons and extras if you forget sand toys/necessities for the beach.

Loved the lazy river

We had a great time, very comfortable condo great location you get off the elevator and there is the condo in front of you, which was ideal for 5 senior women, the only thing that would make it better would be a new mattress for the bottom bunk bed.
