Located in the Upper Peninsula next to the Mackinac Bridge!
About Susan Justice
As a child, my parents would take all of us to the Upper Peninsula for vacations. I will never forget sitting in our family station at night just watching the Bridge. And then there were the trips to Mackinac Island aboard the ferry and riding our bikes around the island. Well time passes and I moved to California because of my job. When my husband and I were traveling in our motor home, I decided to treat my husband to the wonders of the Upper Peninsula. Of course, he thought of Michigan as if everything was like Detroit. He fell in love with Saint Ignace and the rest is history.
Susan Justice purchased this Cabin in 2003
Why Susan Justice chose St Ignace
I purchased the best piece of property in the Upper Peninsula. We are located right next to the Mackinac Bridge on Lake Huron. Beautiful!
What makes this Cabin unique
The location is perfect for visiting Mackinac Island, shopping in downtown Saint Ignace, driving to Tahquamenon Falls State Park. Plus can you imagine making s'mores at your bonfire in the evening.

Perfect Sister Trip
My 2 sisters and I spent a wonderful week in a perfect spot on Lake Huron! Susan was a lovely hostess and has provided everything in the house that one could possibly want. The house is as clean as a pin, and the setting is beautiful. Susan even provided us with marshmallows, graham crackers & chocolate for S’mores which we enjoyed by the fire pit one evening! Any travelers to this location will not be disappointed! Thank you, Susan, for everything! (Including unlocking the door for us when we locked ourselves out!)
Thanks for staying in my guest house. So happy that you enjoyed your stay. Come again anytime!
We had a wonderful stay at this cottage that had the best view of the Mackinac Bridge
I can not recommend this property enough to others. It was a phenomenal stay. The cottage was perfect. A great area to gather at and stay. The beach area to view the Mackinac Bridge is a major highlight. That is something that my family and I will not forget. It was easy to check in, the cottage was in great condition with plenty of room for our group of 6. We were able to have windows open at night and hear the waves from Lake Huron. This is a great place to stay when visiting Mackinac Island. A short 5 minute drive to the ferry’s to the island. We had a fantastic stay and definitely would return and hope to in the future.
It makes me so happy when guests really enjoy their time here. I'm glad you got to do all the things you wanted to do. And please come again!
Cute home. Well stocked with everything you need. Great views and close to St Ignace downtown. I recommend this!!
Thank you for staying at my guest house. I'm glad that you enjoyed your stay. Come again!
A qualified yes to the question, Did you enjoy your stay?
We stayed in the Guest House in early August, 2019. The house itself was comfortable and nicely furnished. It was a short walk to the beach area. Because it is conveniently located just across the Mackinac Bridge we were able to access all that this part of the UP has to offer.
That said, we were disappointed that house painters were on the property for the bulk of our visit. They arrived in the morning and stayed through the afternoon each day, moving ladders and doing maintenance work, and there was no privacy. Sitting outside with morning coffee was out of the question. They parked their trucks across from our only access which made getting in and out of the narrow driveway difficult.
There are no curtains or blinds on the main bathroom window so taking a shower during the day was not possible. One day, we returned from a trip into town to discover the workmen had unlocked the door and come into the house.
We had to endure noise, and while the owner was friendly and apologetic, we were not pleased.
In my opinion, it is inappropriate to have general maintenance done while renting your property. Emergency repairs are unavoidable but this was not the case.
We were given no warning that this would be the case. Had we known, we would not have booked this property.
I'm sorry that your experience was less than perfect. Due to the rains in April & May, we were unable to start the painting earlier. We tried our best to stay out of your way. They needed access to the balconies in order to paint. I know when I've stayed in hotels, sometimes maintenance workers as well as the cleaning personnel have to enter my room. BTW, the workers would have happily parked their cars elsewhere if they knew there was a problem.
We had a wonderful time. Area is beautiful and the house was easy to find, had great views and had everything we needed. It was perfect for the 6 of us. We really enjoyed the view of the Mackinac Bridge and our campfire at the lake. Susan is a gracious host. Would definitely recommend this to all our friends.
We had a wonderful stay in the north guesthouse! The house itself has a lot of character, is very clean and has a great location. We easily explored the upper peninsula. Always nice to get back to the guest house to relax. The owner was a delight to work with... wanting to make our vacation enjoyable. Highly recommend and hopefully someday our family will return!
