Thank you--I certainly try to provide a clean and comfortable house! I appreciated my communication with you, and your men were polite, but when a kitchen stove sets off the fire alarm and fills the house with smoke, that's something the homeowner should be notified of--I do wish you stayed with your crew so they would all know what the house rules were. It was a pleasure to host you. Due to zoning restrictions we are now limited to renting monthly, but still value each and every guest. We will be opening another short term rental on East North Street in 2020, even closer to downtown!

Since our house is likely a downsize, I was relieved you found it roomy and spacious., and I’m also glad the first few weeks were mild enough to enjoy the gracious back porch. Dear Sir, I regret that you have had several misunderstandings as to the intent of the cameras that were installed; and the texts which I sent to try to clarify things were ignored, so sadly we have this disappointing review. We have a camera at the front door which mostly stays on, because this is a monthly rental and we need a security camera for the long periods of time it's unoccupied. Also, in order to verify that adherence to the contract is met and guests do not exceed maximum capacity, I installed a second camera on the back porch in case someone tries to get in unseen by the front door camera. Within less than 12 hours of installing the second camera, your team was gone. We currently have another work team renting this month via another site, and they have had no issues whatsoever with the cameras. Also, the listing was not removed, but temporarily "hidden" on both listing websites in order to allow time for me to make changes to house rules and clarify that the maximum number of guests will be enforced (now reduced to 6 adults), and to bump up both the nightly rates and the cleaning rate, because after your nearly month long stay my cleaning lady said she just couldn't clean up after a work crew for the rate she was cleaning before. Please check your payment app that we used before. I refunded you the four unused nights remaining in your stay, as it was only right to do so. Plus, I gladly refunded your security deposit in spite of several high end pillow cases (6) having to be replaced because they were too stained to use again. I do appreciate the fact that your men left the house in order, but my housekeeper charged me more than double to clean, as she was there for over five hours. Lastly, the night I installed the porch camera, it was off. I did a still shot to see how it was working, and noted there was no image, so I turned it on to see if it was connecting. I heard voices, and told your crew that it was a security camera, and fix it back or I would call the police. That's when I saw it was only covered (it was off so I had no footage), I turned the camera off again, as I said I would. It's annoying to get motion alerts on my Apple watch, so I leave the porch camera off almost all the time after a day or so post check-in. Current guest lets me know when they'll be out of town, so I can turn it back on. It's a security camera, not a nanny-cam. So far so good, and our current guests are happy. Sorry you were our singular exception.
