A Stepp Away Mountain Laurel Cabin offers automated check-in and out with wooded relaxing seclusion for those ready to escape and unwind from the daily pressures of life. The cabin sits in a lovely thicket of Mountain Laurel and private forest, with only occasional deer interruptions as they travel their trails through the forest. Seasonal mountain views add to the tranquility waiting for you.

A Large secluded screened porch awaits you, with rockers, a dining table, and mountain sunset views through the trees. If you enjoy reading or just want to get away to mountain serenity & your own special music, our private screened porch nestled in the forest — comfortable rockers included---should be one of the most enjoyable features of our Cabin. We have 2 flat-screen smart TVs for enjoying Netflix, YouTube live TV and a wide variety of other shows. There is an activity closet with movies, books, cards, puzzles and board games. Current magazines are also available as well as hiking and guide books for the area. You will find a Gas grill on the deck, complete with utensils. While grilling, relax in the rockers and enjoy the lush forest view; soaking in the fresh air, bird song, and pine ladened breezes. The fire pit on the deck adds to your relaxing experience. Enjoy seasonal mountain views for much of the year as well; see our many pictures!
The two Master suites each have a private open-air deck accessible by sliding glass doors with bench seating to enjoy the fire pit, sunset views, star gazing, and separate access to the screen porch for dining and board games. Additionally, one of the Masters has private access to the bathroom and a large private sitting room. The Two Master suites are separated by a great room with a 13-foot cedar lap siding wall (filling the air with a fresh cedar aroma) crowned with windows that let in the morning sun, a dining area, 1/2 bath with a dishwasher plus stacked washer, and dryer and a fully appointed Kitchen.
A Stepp Away is an ideal home base for one or two couples to hike, sightsee, shop, try new restaurants and explore the beautiful mountain area, then relax in the evenings in the great room, sitting room, by the fire pit, or in a comfy rocking chair on the screen porch. About the host
Hosted by David & Leta Reeves

This was our cabin that has been our "just a Stepp away" from Atlanta for many years where we reunited with nature as a respite from our challenging jobs. We love this area so much that we decided to purchase our retirement home in this wonderful community after looking at many others. Our new home gave us the opportunity to share a piece of our heaven with others by sharing our cabin.
Why they chose this property
Single Story "no stairs" quaint cabin in a small quiet community with all the amenities of the city-great diverse restaurants, events, and shows, lots of shopping, nice people, with lovely mountain and lake views everywhere you go.
What makes this property unique
It features a single story with no stairs. It is so very quiet which makes it super relaxing. Close enough to Hiawassee, Lake Chatuge, and restaurants with no city lights to disturb the view of the stars, and no busy activity to scare the deer and birds away.
