About the host

After living the busy life raising 4 daughters in Houston,TX we knew one day we wanted to be away from it all. We built our house in 2008 and slowly cleared cedar trees and added more animals. In 2013, we needed to take care of Theresa's aging parents and with the help of her brothers, sisters, nephew, and nieces we built the log cabin that mom and dad wanted. They never had the opportunity to enjoy the cabin, but they enjoyed a bustling summer of 2013 seeing all their children and grandchildren work together to build this log cabin from ground up.

Why they chose this property

In our search of acreage back in 1997, which was usually not too far away from the Houston area, we came across an advertisement for 5 acres in Canyon Lake. After talking to the seller and arranging a day trip to Canyon Lake, we knew this was what we were looking for.

What makes this property unique

The abundant wildlife and the peace and quiet we all need to experience. The birds colors are so vibrant, showing that they too love the country living!
