Welcome to the beach and authentic Costa Rica! Relax and unwind at Casa JolRay, a treat for all your senses. Take in ocean breezes, the sound of waves and birds in our neighboring estuary and breathtaking sunset views on Playa Venado. The property is located a few kilometers from several restaurants and a grocery store as well as paved-road access to bigger tourist towns for more activities, shopping and dining. Just 1.5 hours from the international airport, you'll have your toes in the sand in no time.

This is a fresh-air, open-layout home equipped with ceiling fans and screens on all doors and windows. One bedroom is equipped with air conditioning but all other spaces are not air conditioned. The kitchen is fully equipped for cooking during your stay and the utility room on the ground floor includes beach equipment (chairs, umbrellas, and boogie boards) for guest use.

I am available as your bi-lingual property manager as needed for questions, recommendations, booking activities, maintenance issues, personal concerns and emergencies. My property management office is located in the commercial center in Junquillal and we are there as often as our schedules allow. I live about 6km from the property and am happy to come by to check in and say hello or to help with an issue.

Why they chose this property

This home is located in the quiet and tranquil neighborhood of Playa Venado, just south of Playa Junquillal, a growing tourist and surfing destination heralded for its "authentic Costa Rica" feel. The beaches in our area, including our own beach of Playa Venado, are also nesting grounds for several species of marine turtle so as a beach-front home do our best to have minimal impact on their nesting behavior by having low exterior lights.

What makes this property unique

Costa Rica is a very safe country and this home is very secure but we recommend that guests always lock the iron doors at night and never leave personal belongings outside or in their parked vehicle unattended. The beach is public land in Costa Rica and therefore anyone can pass by and see unattended and unsecured homes and vehicles.
