Family trip

Clean, secluded from the traffic, which was great if tou have little ones like we did. Very spacious, the view was calming and beautiful! Location was perfect, only 12 minutes from downtown!!

Perfect Little Getaway

We were in town for a dance competition. Loved the outdoor space and getting to relax right on the river in the evenings! The kitchen was well equipped and the home itself worked perfectly for us. Loved that it had a long driveway and was so quiet and peaceful. We even brought our own kayaks and spent one afternoon/evening exploring the lake.

The house was a great location and we loved that it was on the lake with a dock. The driveway was a little tricky with our boat at dark but we found a boat ramp nearby the next morning. The house was fully stocked and had almost everything we needed. We enjoyed the grill, WiFi, stocked supplies and lots of room. The location is close to Walmart and that’s really all we needed. We spent most of our stay on the lake. Thanks again for a great stay!

Weekend with the girls was great

Very comfortable and view was awesome. Owners were quick to respond when our keycode had not been set. Master bath could use an update but was sufficient. Owners provided everything we needed for kitchen. Most vrbo units give you 1 roll of paper towels, toilet paper, etc. but the owners fully stocked everything we needed and we cooked several meals.

Girls Getaway

We take a trip to Hot Springs about 3 times a year with my girlfriends. We choose this location because of the access to the lake. It was fabulous. The long driveway to your home away from home. Everything was as they stated in the listing. You will not be disappointed staying here. All the TVs worked easily and sometimes that's a struggle in itself. Plenty of all the extras you would need for a stay. This is going into our list of we would stay there again. Thank you for sharing your place with us!

Several plusses and minuses

Property is in need of attention, thankfull someone left a leaf blower because the decks were covered in thick leaves. The windows had plenty of dead bugs but lacked screens to really enjoy the beautiful weather. The 2 bbq pits did not quite add up to one usable one. The nice looking weber grill in the add is not there, instead there is a 20 dollar walmart special that I luckily found the grill for in the other rusted out grill. There was a fairly well stocked kitchen which was nice but we had to call for trash bags and dishwasher soap and a kitchen towels. Given a little extra attention the place could be great.

Not what we expected

We rented this house so we could have immediate family nearby for the Memorial Day weekend. When we first pulled in the driveway there was a couch cushion laying in the yard and then another one near the house. When we opened the front door we were punched in the face by a musty/moldy smell. We lit several candles immediately hoping to disguise the odor before our guests arrived. Then I started sweeping because there were dead bugs and dirt on the floors. My wife started opening curtains and patio doors to help with the smell. Whoever left the leaf blower on the back deck, thank you. We needed it. It was apparent that no one had been at this house in awhile or cleaned it recently. My wife blew off the patio furniture and deck because they were covered in leaves/debris. Now that the curtains were open and additional light illuminated the interior we were surprised by a new problem. The chair by the patio door needs professionally cleaned or placed in the yard with the couch cushions. It is nasty. The couch isn’t far behind but was tolerable. The throw pillows on the couch are a ridiculous excuse for pillows, they’re as flat as the Sunday paper. I could go on and on about the furnishings but everything in this house is a sorry excuse for it to be in a VRBO. I kept telling my wife “We’re not buying it, we’re only renting it”. I kicked it around for 2 weeks on whether I should even post a review. I finally decided to do it, so others aren’t as disappointed as us.

So Much Potential - Not There Yet

This house has so much potential. If it weren't for the beautiful view, privacy, and easy access to the water, we would have regretted renting it. Below are the pros and cons based on our experience: Pros: 1. Absolutely awesome views from the back patio & lower deck. We wanted a house on a cove with less traffic and more views across the water and this was wonderful. 2. Quiet and private - there's a house on one side of you, but we rarely saw anyone there. 3. Long paved driveway in front is great for privacy and bike rides (my niece and nephew rode their bikes a lot). 4. The living /dining area was comfy and well decorated. Roku TVs in living and all bedrooms. Spacious kitchen. Lots of games, life jackets, beach towels, sunscreen handy. 5. Wireless entry using digits from my phone #. Cons: 1. House has unfinished maintenance items. A hole in the wall in the dining room, a sliding closet door was hanging off the hinges in the guest room and left leaning inside the closet. Guest bathtub/shower would barely drain. Master bath has a towel bar that is not secured to the wall with drywall screws. It fell out of the wall even when I hung a wash cloth on it to dry. 2. The house needs a good DEEP clean. The cleaning job was sub-par, even for surface cleaning. There were obvious patches of dust, dirt and particles underneath the furniture. No attempt to sweep or dust under them. Kitchen cabinets, windows and in places. Same in the bathrooms. The inside of the kitchen cabinet drawers have debris and dirty liners. Sponges were all musty (I used my own). Much of our disappointment could have been resolved with just a good deep clean and organization/de-cluttering of kitchen items. 2. House smells musty. Damp Rid could help. Both me and my nephew had a bit of issue with the musty air (he has asthma and required breathing treatments every day that he didn't need at my house). 3. Too much random clutter in bedrooms and bathrooms. The living room and dining area were mostly fine, but others had random, old (and dusty) decor items everywhere. Made the space look more old and dirty and just took up needed storage space. 4. Old, obviously worn and mismatched linens. Looked like the very old hand-me-downs from someone else's house. Toilet paper was SO thin - nobody likes super cheap TP. 5. Master bed & bath need total rehaul. Very dark & depressing. An obvious garage conversion. Overwhelming safari vibe didn't work for us. It was too much and not cozy

Family Get Together

This property was such a great place for our family to gather together from California, Denver, and Tacoma with us to visit their grandparents in Hot Springs. So quiet, so much room, so well stocked. The lovely kitchen was stocked with cooking oils, spices, and utensils better than any other short term rental we've ever stayed in. Mornings down on the Lake Front chairs was blissful. So beautiful!

We LOVED our stay here. The house was very nice, clean, exactly as described. The back yard was perfect for morning coffee drinking and evening relaxing. The lake had good water movement through the cove so the water was clear and clean and perfect for floating and relaxing. We would definitely come back!!

The house is just as pictured! The house was VERY clean and we loved the keypad entry and having Alexa be able to turn the lights off and on. Our whole family of 5 fit on the big couch to watch our favorite Disney + shows. The kids loved the tree swing by the dock. The beds and linens were all cozy. We had plenty of dishes and pots and pans to make dinner. We loved that there was a cute snack basket. We didn't use them but there were also plenty of beach towels and even life jackets! The lake was beautiful to look at and the cove the home is in was super quiet. We only saw one other person from FAR away. Our only very small negative was that the fire pit didn't look usable and we were disappointed to not be able to make s'mores.

Great location on the lake!

This house is lake front right off a point with a private floating dock, which was great for fishing. Older home but very clean. Quiet neighborhood and convenient to local activities. We would stay here again when in the area.
