About this property
*Escape to the Mountains* Make Memories With Your Friends & Family at Snowscape
We hope you enjoy our mountain retreat as much as we do. Our mountain get-away is in the neighborhood of Wildernest in Silverthorne, CO nestled near the top of Buffalo Mountain. This locals neighborhood is quiet and peaceful but it is just a 15 minute drive to multiple ski resorts. Come and see what draws us all to the mountains. You will find hiking right outside your door and many activities to satisfy any adrenaline junky. After a day of fun and exploring return to the clubhouse to enjoy the pool, hot tub, and sauna. Upstairs in the clubhouse you will find games, bar/fridge and comfortable couches. End the evening wrapped in a blanket by the fireplace.
Our home is clean and spacious. The spiral staircase to the loft and sky lights give the space an airy feel. Our condo property is one of only three in the area with a pool and hot tub. If you love fly fishing, the award winning Blue River is at the base of Buffalo mountain and you will often see fly fishing in action during the summer. If you love winter then Summit County is calling your name with the award winning winter sports. If you love shopping, there are many high end outlet malls at the base of Buffalo mountain as well. There is something for everyone here.
SETTING THE STAGE:
If you are not from Colorado you may not know the lay of the land. Allow us to introduce you! Our home is located in Summit County most famously known for mountain towns that carry different names but are really more like sprawling suburbs. Silverthorne, Dillon, Keystone, and Frisco make up the largest geography. Breckenridge is located ten minutes South of Frisco. Vail is located twenty-five minutes West of Frisco over Vail Pass. If you would like to ski on multiple mountains Silverthorne, Dillon and Keystone are the best locations to rent. These lively towns are also packed with restaurants, pubs, and shopping.
WINTER RUNDOWN: There is a FREE Summit Stage local bus in Silverthorne that takes people to Keystone, Frisco, Breckenridge and Copper Mountain. It stops just outside our door. Of course you want to come to the mountains in the winter! KEYSTONE 10 miles: Keystone is a popular resort with a charming ski town and wonderful little back bowls. It has a large terrain park and many twists and turns to its runs. COPPER 14 miles: Copper is a quiet family friendly mountain with fewer tourists. LOVELAND 14 miles: Loveland is often peppered with young families teaching their children how to ski or board. A-BASIN 15 miles: A-Basin is considered a locals mountain with snow boarders galore. It has a Rastafarian feel and a young crowd. BRECKENRIDGE 18 miles: Breckenridge is a classic resort. It has many long wide runs and is a long time tourist favorite. VAIL 33 miles: Vail is a posh resort tucked 25 minutes West of Summit County and home to the best back bowls anyone could every hope to ski or board. Vail village is a sprawling little town full of high end shopping, restaurants and pubs. BEAVER CREEK 45 miles: Beaver Creek is a charming posh resort another 15 minutes West of Vail. - If winter resorts don't suite your fancy, there is winter tubing, ice skating, or shopping minutes away. We love to hike in the winter so put on your boots and drive up Buffalo mountain two minutes to find many trail heads. There is also a charming trail that runs through the ravine right out our back doorstep!
SUMMER TIME: We love summer almost more than winter in Summit County. Dillon has a beautiful marina ten minutes away where you can go sailing and paddle boarding. You can also find yourself rafting down Colorado rivers but keep in mind this is best during June to mid August when the river water is warmer. Attend concerts or local shows at the Dillon Amphitheater. Many ski towns and resorts put on concerts in the summer. Hiking and mountain biking trails are everywhere! There is nothing like the smell of fresh pine in the summer!
A WORD ABOUT ALTITUDE: Our condo is located ~9,600 feet above sea level on Buffalo Mountain in Silverthorne, CO. This is 1000 ft above the city elevation. Some people may experience mild altitude sickness for the first day which may include headache and fatigue if coming from sea level . Stay well hydrated! Yes, drink one glass of water every two hours. Altitude will amplify the effects of alcohol as well as hangovers. The treatment for all altitude sickness is to descend to lower altitude if you continue to feel worse.
We are excited to hear from you. Let us know if you have any further questions.

Welcome to our home away from home in Silverthorne Colorado!
After living in Colorado for nearly a decade and renting ski condos throughout Summit county we decided it was time to buy a home to call our own. I always say my soul lives in the mountains. We chose Wildernest because it is quiet yet it is close to the hustle and bustle of mountain life. Our home is near the tree line of Buffalo mountain where you can see the lights from Keystone Resort off in the distance at night. We love skiing in different locations so our home became a natural selection as it is close to Keystone, Breckenridge, Copper, A-Basin, Loveland, Vail, and Beaver Creek.

Why they chose this property
We are genuinely partial to our home. After living in Colorado for a decade we chose this home because it is a "Tree house" style layout and feels like a true escape from the rest of the world. The condo is deceivingly spacious. It just keeps going and going with a lot of private space, nooks, and crannies.
What makes this property unique
Private entrance.New log beds. Italian leather furniture. Carpet. Pool. Hot tub. Sauna. (Only three properties on Buffalo mountain have these amenities). Wood fireplace. Internet. Lots of space. Three bathrooms. Deck. Gas grill. Coffee pot. Dishwasher. Two flat screen TVs. Board games. Fantastic location. Gas station, food, firewood and liquor/beer at the base of the mountain. Outlet malls at the base of the mountain.
