This was a great spot to stay off the mountain, which we have never done before. Picked a good year since there was no snow to go snowboarding during our stay. This village has everything laundry swimming, hot tub sauna. Easy to navigate and quick cut through the forest paths to find friends who are staying in other cabins. Only downside was heavy fog which put some fireplace smoke back into the cabin easily. Remi just opening the doors and letting the fire die down. The cabin had everything we needed nothing extra, but we weren’t lacking for anything either. Loved how roomy our living room was in this cabin compared to my friends we definitely had the most space.
The location feels liken the middle of the forest: stunning and quiet. The unit itself needs updating. Furniture shows a lot of wear. Bathrooms were very clean, but smelled like mildew and the sink drains smelled. Stairs were scary for seniors. Still, a good value for the price and we would return.
We enjoyed staying in this condo in Ptarmigan village. My family of 7 stayed here while skiing. It's at the very bottom of the neighborhood. Pretty views of trees out the back windows. The pool is a block away, and we cut through the snow. Everything was nice about the place. The windows in the loft and in the bunk bed room could use curtains because the street lights shine through - or else use a sleep mask. The loft is hotter than the rest of the house and the beds are not as good up there, so I'd recommend those beds for children instead of adults.

trees blew down on the rental deck along with all rentals in the area. tree fell across road causing us to miss a dinner reservation. still havent seen damage deposit returned
Nice location. About a 10 minute drive to the mountain. The indoor pool building is close by the unit and has a sauna as well. Outdoor hot tub was nice. The unit could use an overall deep cleaning. Overall suited our needs and would stay here again.
Great place to stay. The pool, hot tub and sauna were right across from us which was very convenient. They were clean and a great place to take the kids after exploring the area. The condo has a fireplace and we were able to get a couple bundles of firewood on site for free. The kitchen was fairly well stocked. I brought hand soap just in case but there was some in both bathroom. This condo is 3 levels, which we didn’t know but it wasn’t a big deal for us. Some may want to know if they have small children as the stairs can be a bit difficult for kids. The 2 bedrooms are on the bottom level. Overall we had a great stay and got to watch some of the wild life when sitting on the porch swing.
Stayed in Ptarmigan many times, and this was by the best location I’ve had. Right by the pool and tub, nice and quiet end unit at the bottom of the hill - what more could you ask for? Only concerns we had during stay was Wi-Fi password/name were incorrect and a small amount of kitchen towels for dishes and cleanup. Otherwise, fantastic property and would stay again and again!
Everything was as expected. This unit is slightly outdated but we do not care about that. Amenities we’re fine with the exception of we did not have any soap or shampoo for the bathrooms. We therefore used dishwashing soap to wash your hands which was a bit inconvenient. Lots of kitchen stuff which made meal prep easy. Also lots of blankets and pillows for our crew.Overall had a great stay and was happy to spend our time in this condo and would consider it again. The location to the pool and hot tub was very nice as well.
This place was amazing. It was easy to find. As soon as we got to the office they gave us a key and a map. Are you worried your kids won't like the place you reserve? Well our kids were in love with this place. Pool house was awesome and clean. I wish we would've stayed longer.

Nice ambiance but not well maintained
I am giving this property two stars (otheise it would be one star). - The location was beautiful; private overlooking woods and a view (though far) of Whitefish Lake. Also, it comfortably fit our family of 7 (without anyone having to sleep on a couch). However, this property is poorly maintained and did not have even basic kitchen necessities. I provided the property manager with a list of essential improvements and am hoping those take place for the safety and enjoyment of future renters. She assured me these would be looked into immediately. My understanding is the resort is under newer management and they plan to make improvements to many of the facilities. I would not recommend this property to anyone traveling with elderly or very young children as the spiral staircase is very narrow and steep. The indoor pool and tennis courts were very close to this property and our 11 year old enjoyed those. If you want peace and quiet, this is a great place to stay; as it is away from the crowd of downtown Whitefish. The drive up the mountain to the resort is stunning.
