Exactly what we were looking for. Grabbed a bunch of groceries and never left the house. Has everything you need. I don't recommend this place for Seniors or small children. Lots of general hazards.
Just as described! Relaxing - plenty to do - wonderful swing on the porch with ceiling fans - and the sounds of the rushing creek. Not really a wading creek, but our dogs and adult kids had fun. Well stocked with everything. Roads are STEEP (all routes) gravel. Deer everywhere. Definitely do not arrive in the dark. Driveway is steep also. But it is a WONDERFUL cabin. We had a great time and RELAXED.
You will love this place. View is amazing. My family had a great time. Kids had a blast. The house is very clean, neat and fully equipped. Host Jason is amazing. He was very quick to respond and kept us very well informed.
Great cabin for our family of 6 & 3 furbabies Great view on th
e river! Very peaceful
Fireplace in master didnt work and lots of bulbs out outside but had a great time
Great space for three couples. House is close to nature (beautiful creek to relax next to) and also downtown Elijay and Reece's Cider Co, making for a fun weekend.
Great house! Super clean when we arrived. Directions and instructions provided were great although we did have to ask for them upon arriving. The fire pit down by the creek was so relaxing. There was a book with all the things to see and do while there. Kitchen had all the dishes and appliances needed.
Exactly as advertised on VRBO. Each bedroom had its on bathroom plus loft game room with extra pull out couch. Loved the pool table, tv and dartboard downstairs. Hot tub off of 2 of the bedrooms was super convenient. Our favorite part was the flowing river out back. We spent lots of time playing in the water. Our city dogs loved the adventure and jumped right in the water! Great fire pit by the water.
5 college classmates spent three lovely days in this beautiful property. Two traveled from Hawaii and were very happy to be in the mountains of Georgia after years away. It is a beautiful, quiet property and looks exactly as advertised. Jason was a great contact and we left very happy. The river was lovely and the cabin had an excellent air I do too er although our summer days there were cool enough to be outside all day. I highly recommend this get away.
We definitely enjoyed our stay! There were 3 couples and the guys were stationed in Germany together!
We as a group had not been together in 26 years! The cabin was absolutely beautiful! Thanks so much
Everyone in our party had a fabulous time. Access to the creek (where we spent the better part of the day) was a little treacherous getting down the bank to the water but the water was very clean and refreshing. Cabin was very clean and plenty of space to spread out with all the utensils you need to prepare meals. We will definitely be back!!!
We really wanted to stay at a cabin on the water, and Hide ‘n’ Go Creek definitely delivered! Beautiful view of the water, from the porch and the waterfront fire pit area. We came specifically to kayak; the water was a bit rough directly in front of the house, but there are a couple of nearby parks where you can put in, and Carters Lake is about a 40-minute drive from the cabin. Definitely recommend Carters Lake if you’re looking for something to do—we enjoyed a wonderful day there!
We had a blast at the cabin. Getting to the property was fine, just take it slow. The river was so much fun. Storms made it little hard to get down to the water, but once we figured out which rocks to step on, it was a breeze. Until they have a chance work on the entry to the water, really little kids will need help.
The cabin was comfortably clean. There were a few issues here and there, but nothing that slowed us down or spoiled our trip.
The porch was fantastic and so relaxing, the beds were comfortable.

Issues with WiFi connection - which made check in a little troublesome. The home is very nice but all linens, quilts, shams, etc.. had to be washed, evident these were not changed from last guest. If you are planning on using the kitchen make sure you bring additional pots and pans most need to be replaced. The home is in a beautiful location and we enjoyed listening to the river below and watching the wildlife.

Wouldn't stay here again
First of all I will say be sure you did not arrive at this property after Dark. The drive-in is pretty scary and takes a very long time. It is approximately 15 minutes from the gate to the cabin on very steep winding roads. Next I will say this is the dirtiest short term rental I have ever stayed at. Inside of the kitchen cabinets is disgusting and all of the dishes were dirty. Dishwasher doesn't work well so we handwashed everything before and after using. There was lots and lots of miscellaneous stuff everywhere making it very difficult to find anything. The stove was filthy and we had to clean it before we felt comfortable putting our food in it. The area rugs were covered in dog hair. We have pets and brought our 2 small dogs but assumed it would be clean. The kitchen counter had grime and dirt all built up around the edges of the sink. My mom cleaned that - she couldn't help herself. The laundry room had stuff stacked everywhere so you couldn't really use it. The washer shakes violently when you do use it. The hot tub had so many chemicals in it that it turned my white swim suit yellow within a few minutes and irritated our skin so we had to get out pretty quickly and couldn't use it again. Even outside looked very neglected - full gutters and leaves and tree debris everywhere even on the porches. The pool table is almost unusable because the room is too small and they don't have the short pool sticks. Just overall super disappointing for what they charged.
We loved this cabin and it's access to the water. The house was clean and we had most of everything we needed in the kitchen. We needed measuring cups because we made pancakes and brownies with the kids, but it is well stocked otherwise. There is not an ice maker on the fridge, so make sure you bring ice. There seemed to be plenty of coffee filters left from past renters, so we did not have to go buy any of those. The coffee pot is a standard pot and not a Keurig, so bring your coffee. We placed a Walmart pickup order for groceries and it is less than 10 minutes from the entrance to the resort and easy to find.
The master bedroom bed was super comfortable! A couple of extra blankets and more coat hangers would be nice. We used the baby gate to block the stairs for our dog, so that was nice to have on hand. There is also a pack n play in the closet (we did not use this though). The boys liked playing pool and the girls loved the hot tub.
There is a trail that runs behind the cabin along the water that was a nice walk. We saw others using it also and said hi along the way. There was even a tie out for a dog at the fire pit by the creek to use while you are down there. Our dog loved playing in the water! This required a hose to wash her off before heading back in to the house, which we found on the lower level by the hot tub. She got a bath every day!
Make sure that you follow the directions given by the owner and not your GPS. We made a wrong turn on the way in and had some issues on the gravel roads. Once you arrive at the house, the driveway is steep but paved. I am not sure I would attempt it if icy though!
The neighborhood is a nice drive, but windy. If you get car sick this might be an issue. We saw a ton of deer every time we left the cabin and even a turkey. Once you go thru the gate at the front of the resort, it is about 15 minutes to the cabin, the majority is paved. We did not ever see the amenities available with the cabin, but did notice that the access cards for access to the pool and other things expired May 31st. These might need to be updated by owner.
Owner was quick to respond to our messages on arrival day and prior to arrival for any questions.
Thank you for sharing your cabin! We enjoyed it very much.
Beautiful cabin and area. Near lots of charming towns, orchards, vineyards and breweries. Enjoyed hot tub and fire pit. Loved the Roof in Ellijay and the train ride in Blue Ridge.
I absolutely loved this chalet. It was beautiful, had 3 beds, 3 baths, a pool and darts room and had a foosball table in the loft. There was plenty of room for the 7 of us that stayed there. The porch is beautiful and overlooks the river. There is plenty of space to hang out and eat or just relax under the fans. There is a hot tub downstairs with a couple of chair beside it to hang out if you don’t feel like getting in. I brought a camping chair and just sat in the river with my feet in. We saw deer crossing the river several times. There is a fire pit and chairs down by the river. We loved seeing the deer everywhere while coming into and out of the gated community. The beds are firmer than I prefer but other than that everything was perfect. We had a great time and would love to come back.
Beautiful home, location and time with family & best friends
The house and property is beautiful! We had a great time sitting on the porch, walking the woods and catching up with each other! Would definitely stay here again.

My wife and I spent our 2nd anniversary in Ellijay a few years back and fell in love with the town, the people, and the relaxing lifestyle. We decided we had to make a little bit of it our own and finally took the plunge and purchased our dream home on the banks of Mountaintown Creek
