About this property

Nestled in the Pines

Find yourself nestled in the pines on View Point Farm in a quaint original sears catalogue home renovated for visitors to enjoy. This house is every part of comfort, peaceful, relaxation and serenity. If you are looking to unplug and reconnect you have found the right place. No TV or WIFI, just the company of your travel partners so you can kick back and enjoy the birds chirping, the fire crackling and the quiet simple life on the farm.

Located down a quiet country road and close to local attractions your stay can be as busy or as laid back as you wish. If you are the adventurous type, local attractions include but are not limited to the Alberta Prairie Steam Train Tours, Buffalo Lake (swimming, boating, fishing and walking), Pheasantback Golf Course, EchoGlen Greenhouses, Largest Oil Lamp in the World and much more. If you would rather escape the busy life, enjoy a book on the beautiful wrap around patio, curl up and listen to the crackling of the wood burning fire place or take a stroll around the farm and down the country road for some fresh air.

The home features a cozy living room, dining room, simple kitchen and bathroom on the main floor and two charming bedrooms on the second floor. One room has two twin beds and the other has one queen bed. The kitchen is very simple and small and is equipped with dishes (plates, bowls, cups, glasses) cutlery, pots, pans, water kettle, hot plate, mini fridge, microwave and BBQ. Unfortunately there is no oven so meals will have to be simple, for example like you were going camping, but more like glamping.

We are happy to accommodate you and make your stay as enjoyable as possible. Please let us know if you have any questions.

Alberta Country Stay
Took my 2 grandkids and my two small dogs. Grandkids said they would really like to do it again soon (even tho no wifi or TV). We had a really nice time. Less than 1/2 hour to Buffalo Lake beaches, 6 kittens under the porch, and a calf that would run to greet the kids if they walked to the fence. Stars at night were amazing!

Mr Jeff
Our stay in this cabin was very nice. It was a cozy cabin and Ernest was a fabulous host who was great when we wanted solitude and even more fabulous when we interacted with him or had any concerns. The addition of a few things such as better cooking appliances would just add to its enjoyment. The surrounding area was beautiful farm and ranch land and Stettler was only 15 to 20 minutes away. We enjoyed Buffalo lake provincial park and found the lake and beach beautiful. I think the addition of a binder with information on places to eat and buffalo lake ass well as other activities or sights to see would be beneficial to those who stay here. Thanks Ernest and Angela. A restful break from the city
We had a lovely time at the cabin; it rained one entire day and our teenagers were forced to find things to do that did not involve their phones. I am happy to report that we all found it restful and enjoyed our time...even the teenagers. The cabin is only a short drive from Buffalo Lake, which made for a convenient day trip.
