About this property

CENTRAL LONDON SAYS IT ALL! Walking distance to all that London has to offer!

Welcome guests
We hope you have a wonderful time in Central London and enjoy staying at our family home.

One of the 1st townhouses in Central London, sitting in a rare cobbled street. This homely two bed property is a true rarity for such a central location, being only minutes away from Oxford Street & walking distance to all the major tourist attractions. The local area is famous for its restaurants & has the greatest transport links.

Fully equipped kitchen, relax in the cosy living/dining room and for bedtime, you have a choice of 2 bedrooms with double beds prepared with hotel quality linen.

Here is a little history of our house. It was built around 1730 and was one of the first Townhouses in the United Kingdom, based on the first one which is

Location
This is one of the most convenient central London locations you can imagine, set in the fashionable district of Fitzrovia, where you can dine at some of the finest restaurants in Central London or sip cocktails in some of the quirkiest cocktail bars.

Fitzrovia was a notable artistic and bohemian centre from a period dating roughly from the mid-1920s until the present day. We have over 40 independent galleries within the area. This historical area was once the home to such writers as Charles Dickens, George Bernard Shaw and Virginia Woolf.

The Sunday Times named the district as the best place to live in London.

Transport
Fitzrovia is a great Central London location and as easy transport access is important to us all, we are extremely conveniently located:

► Tube
Goodge Street, Tottenham Court Road, Oxford Street and Warren Street

► Train stations
Close to Euston, St Pancress, King's Cross Thames Link and King's Cross Stations. 12 minutes tube to Waterloo.

► Busses
major bus routes leading all across London

► Private hire
Black cabs and Uber are abundant

Food and Drink
As Virginia Woolf once said: “One cannot think well, love well, sleep well, if one has not dined well”, once you step out of the door of the apartment - food is not issue, as there are some of the best restaurants in London on Charlotte Street, but we also have the usual pizza, street food and artisan sandwich/coffee bars.

Shopping
Oh my you can really get lost in clothes shopping in my area. A few minutes away, you can be in Oxford Street – a mile long street full of fashion shops, housing the likes of Selfridges and John Lewis. Leading of Oxford Street you have Bond Street, Regents Street and Carnaby Street; you can truly indulge in full on shopping experience.

“We don't stop playing because we grow old; we grow old because we stop playing.” George Bernard Shaw

London Adventure
This is a nice flat in a very happening part of London. The area is great with lots of restaurants and bars and is in walking distance of everything. Soho is 5 min if the local excitement isn’t enough. There are a few underground stations very close by and the place is easy to get to from LHR airport via the underground. The flat is off the main road and is quiet at night. The flat itself seems to be converted into a rental and is worth the price. The owner is very responsive if something is needed and helpful to answer questions. The rooms are of a decent size and the two beds comfortable. I don’t know much about accommodations in central London but assume that most places are small similar to Manhattan, New York. My family didn’t spend a lot of time in the unit but the living/ dinning area was nice to get together and play cards after a long day. The inside of the flat looks much better than the common area and stairs leading up to the unit. The owners supplied plenty of towels, toilet paper, soap, shampoo and conditioner Overall a good place for the price. I would recommend to others.

Superb location, thoughtful touches, spacious, and well decorated
Amazing attention to detail overall, no questions were left unanswered in the documents provided for the listing. Furthermore, Mark was very responsive for the one question we had about wifi password (which was a reading error on our end, not his). All the amenities you could need were available (plenty of soap, shampoo, towels, everything you may need in a kitchen, and plenty of tea/coffee). The beds were also quite comfortable. A nice touch was all the artworks on the walls and books available. You can tell that they take pride in this unit and the guest experience in general. Very impressed with the attention to detail. Would definitely recommend to others.

We're a family of four, who like to travel and make the most of the day. Our property is in the heart of the West End and the area Fitzrovia is pretty much where I grew up. I simply love this area and hope you will too.

I work as a freelance Marketing Director and have worked for some of the largest financial institutions. Time permitting I love to paint or write.

Why they chose this property

Fitzrovia is an amazing area within walking distance to everything West End, you have easy access to the theatres, museums, restaurants of all styles. The great thing about Fitzrovia is that even though it is Central London it's quite quiet - especially during the night. The Sunday Times named the district as the best place to live in London, which is some accolade.

What makes this property unique

This property was built in 1730 and was one of the first townhouses of this style in Central London. The property is quirky but very comfortable as a family home. Would I move from there? No!
