Apartma Vintgar - river view

The house lies in the foothill of Pohorje Mountain just next to a water stream. It is owned by our family for more than 100 years. In the past, it was water driven sawmill. A part of it we renew and rearrange into 65 m2 apartment. Outside is a big garden with grill surrounded with a quiet nature. Town center with shops, bakeries, pizzerias, bars, and pharmacy is only 2km away. Easy access to Maribor - Ljubljana highway (5 km) makes it a good starting point for trips around Slovenia.

Space

Apartma Vintgar (65m2) is a stand-alone house with two bedrooms, kitchen, dining room, living room, and bathroom. All of them are on ground level so access with wheelchair or baby stroller is easy. A big wooden building abutting the house was in past a water-driven sawmill, but there is no production anymore.

Guest access

Guests have their own parking place; the place to keep the bicycles, 2 terraces - one in front with grill and one on another side with view on the river. Both terraces are equipped with tables and benches. There is plenty of place for recreation and entertainment around the house. Also, own water well is available! Guests can supply them with food and drink in several shops (2km). For local food, you can visit the marketplace (open every Saturday between 8 and 11 AM) in the castle (town center).

Interaction with guests

Me and my family we don’t live in the house we rent as an apartment, so our guests have perfect privacy. But we live close enough to be available to our guests whenever they need us. Mainly we see our guests at arrival and departure. Between that, we can help with some tips about where to go and what to see.

Other things to note

Slopes of Pohorje and wine-growing hills are interwoven with the picturesque wine roads. This is the best place for wine connoisseurs. On the wine-growing hills ripen pleasant drinking wines with gently expressed sort characteristics. It is a pleasure for us to organize visits to local wine producers.
