**Property Description**

This is a perfect place by the lake (2 min walk) for people who want to get away from the city, for a QUIET family gathering, walks in our 100 acre forest, OR simply a big chill. This is located on the edge of the Lake Thor and near the Frontenac Park. There are no immediate neighbors!!! NOTE THAT IN SNOWY CONDITIONS ONLY A 4 WHEEL DRIVE CAN MANAGE THE HILL ! If you are looking for a place lost in the middle of the woods - but with a stunning view- you won't be disappointed! Note that we do not allow parties in our property. Finally , note there are surveillance cameras OUTSIDE ONLY .

Amazing!!

We enjoyed the house so much. From the easiest check-in and house rules to a fully stocked and generous Kitchen— we had an amazing, stress free time. Plenty of room, comfortable beds, beautiful bathrooms, kitchen and outdoor spaces. Highly recommend. Access to the lake with many types of boats and beautiful nature. Our children loved the games in the closets and the bunk beds. We thoroughly enjoyed our stay. Merci beaucoup Rejeanne

Breathtaking View

This is a home — not a chalet — grand in scale, it is perched on the side of a mountain — about a third of the way up, set in amongst the trees.When you first look out to the lake, you could hardly believe your eyes! And the sunrises were so spectacular, it warranted rising early to take it all in.The home has been lovingly appointed, with beautiful design pieces and comfortable bedding and seating.We came for the tranquility, but also really appreciated the connectivity w/ the high speed WiFi.The kitchen was well-stocked; although since we are “foodies”, we did bring a few of our own “must-haves” from home. We really appreciated the attention to detail and cleanliness — exactly the way we like it.

This is a beautiful house in a beautiful setting. The lake is absolutely gorgeous with no speedboats and a truly natural environment. If you like birdwatching, this is the place to be, and you will see many many varieties just sitting on the outdoor veranda. bring your binoculars. The house is lovely and comfortable, but may not be suitable for small children as there are a lot of very precious furnishings. There is not one thing I can think of that wasn’t available to us, but you might want to bring a few extra rolls of toilet paper and paper towels as the closest convenience store is not that close. All in all, a terrific rental!

Beautiful winter destination

The house is charming with beautiful views of the lake. We loved playing in the snow and walking in the wooden path around the house. Everything was as in the pictures and even better! Thank you for the wonderful vacation!

Paradise!

This property was even better than the photos suggest. The house was clean, well-stocked and beautiful. The views were breathtaking and the lake was perfect for swimming, boating and lounging. The host was communicative and extremely helpful—ensuring we enjoyed all the features and amenities of the property. By far our best VRBO experience. We cannot recommend this place enough for families, friends or anyone who might enjoy a peaceful retreat into nature.

Highly recommend. Excellent for a family. Well stocked and quality furniture and design. Access to lake is easy but may be a problem For ageing or poor mobility people (can drive there through a private path though). Recommend to bring food to avoid driving to supermarket. Only a small store nearby. Very fluid communication with owner. Will return.

Perfect!

Rejean’s property was the perfect stay for a quiet, romantic significant anniversary. The fall colours were stunning and the location of the home made the most of the lake view. The starry skies near this dark-sky preserve were a delight. The house was spotless, well-appointed, and tastefully furnished with unique and interesting pieces that reflected the owner’s interests and travels in Asia. The house was well- stocked with kitchen supplies and we found everything we needed. We enjoyed the canoe and choice of watercraft. Rejean was a welcoming, professional, and solicitous host who responded quickly and communicated effectively. All in all, 1046 Rendezvous-Vous was one of the top two VRBO properties we have stayed in during our trips in Canada and the U.S. We recommend it highly and look forward to coming back.

Great place

We really enjoyed our stay. The lake is truly amazing, as the opposite side borders on a national park, so you have a natural view of hills and forest. Having full access to kayaks, a canoe, a rowboat and a float-eh (love that thing!) just bumped it up to incredible. I often just hung out on the gravity chair at the end of the dock, reading my book and looking up at the vista. My brother tried to fish but only caught two sticks. (We never saw a fish!)The lake is incredibly clear and shallow for a good stretch. On the weekend, there were tons of families around having fun and making a ruckus. The house is set on a hill, separate from the lake but with private access from a chalet which remains empty, I assume owned by the same owners. Because it is the only house up there it is super quiet and peaceful. The view of the lake is spectacular. Loons at night and so many stars... We really had absolutely everything we needed. From salt, olive oil, and spices to firewood and beach towels. I really could have brought less. For those wary of the two minute walk up the hill from the lake, we just caved and drove the car down! Lazy yes, not very ecological too but my thighs thanked me. Rejean (the host) has a very detailed information booklet explaining everything you need to know or wonder about, including pictures to help you identify things. We never needed to bother him at all. Great host! Nous avons vraiment apprécié notre séjour. Le lac est vraiment incroyable, car le côté opposé borde un parc national, vous avez donc une vue naturelle sur les collines et la forêt. Avoir un accès complet aux kayaks, à un canoë, à une barque et à un flotteur (j'adore ce truc!) C'est devenu incroyable. Je traînais souvent sur la chaise de gravité au bout du quai, lisant mon livre et regardant la vue. Mon frère a essayé de pêcher mais n'a attrapé que deux bâtons. (Nous n'avons jamais vu de poisson!) Le lac est incroyablement clair et peu profond pendant une bonne partie. Le week-end, il y avait des tonnes de familles qui s'amusaient. La maison est située sur une colline, séparée du lac mais avec un accès privé depuis un chalet qui reste vide, je suppose appartenant aux mêmes propriétaires. Parce que c'est la seule maison là-haut, c'est super calme et paisible. La vue sur le lac est spectaculaire. Des huards la nuit et tant d'étoiles...

Certes comme Vs dites le chalet est à 2 min de marche du lac ce qui fait qu’il est isolé des autres pr une plus grande intimité. Nous avons pu profiter de ce chalet très convivial et fonctionnel. Lac très tranquille et facile d'accès à partir du chalet. La proximité avec le parc frontenac rend ce chalet aussi très attrayant pour les amateurs de plein air.

Perfect getaway!

Very nice rental, that turned out to be the perfect getaway. Literally and figuratively. This is deep in the woods, where your friends are going to be the loons and their environment. You’ll also feel exotic as the cottage is littered with oriental furniture, art pieces and books: an escape within an escape! The only place you won’t be able to escape to is the internet, as that service is very slow so far out of town.

About the Internet, yes, sadly enough it is very slow: it is certainly not the place to come to work on line... (but Netflix works fine!... and we should get a faster connection in a couple of years.) It is rather an isolated property by the lake to come and enjoy the outdoor, the calm as there is no immediate neighbor. We certainly hope to have the privilege to host you again Pierre!

Wonderful place for ultimate relaxation

We really enjoyed our stay in Rendezvous-1046. The house is very clean and spacious, we were just a small family, but the house can easily fit 2 big families or a big company of friends, with enough space and privacy. House very well equipped with many well thought details. The lake is amazing, we enjoyed kayaking and boating. The trail from the lake to the house would be a little steep for an older person, but was not a problem for us. The forest was in our backyard, we spent a lot of time walking the trails. There are few small roads in the neighborhood going through the forest, so you have enough workout if you want. We really hope to be back one day.
