We needed to be in Surrey for the month of May 2024.
We were lucky to rent this lovely 1 bedroom apartment in White Rock that fit our needs perfectly. It was clean,
neat, well appointed and centrally located.

Thank you for choosing our coach house for your stay. We hope that your stay was pleasant and you were able to attend to your appointments without too much trouble. Thanks again, and all the best to you and your wife.
This was a very comfortable and convenient property. It was on a street with a nice, residential feel to it, and yet it was an easy distance from stores and other amenities. The suite was clean, tidy and furnished with everything a guest could need. I particularly was impressed by how well the kitchen was equipped. I found the bed very comfortable. The suite was detached from the main house, so it was fully self-contained and private. Yet the friendly hosts were close enough to reach if I ran into a question. I enjoyed driving to Crescent Beach and White Rock Pier to take strolls along the waterfront. I would love to stay in this property again if I was returning to this area.
Thr location is excellent. The apartment is small, but served well for two people.
Should we ever come back to stay in this area, we would not hesitate to rent the place again. We were comfortable, close to grocery store, close to restaurants, movie theaters, minutes by car to White Rock beach. Overall a good location..

Thank you for your review. We are grateful that you chose to stay with us and we would love to have you stay with us again if you choose to be out this way in the future. Thanks again.
The check in process was a bit confusing as I was sent links w/ different door code information. But the apartment was clean, convenient and modern. Close access to everything we needed. You won’t be disappointed.
We enjoyed the location of the property. The unit is well equipped with just about everything you would need. The parking was great with the exception of the large over head tree shedding sap on the car.
The owners were helpful but everything thing was adequate and therefore no need for contact once we moved in.
We would say the property was good value for the dollar.
Thank you Glenda and Derek.

Great place, good price (BUT)
let me start with the positive, the coach house was as advertised. A bit tight in bedroom though, but living space & bathroom were good. But for 400 square ft. what else could you expect.
This was our second trip to White Rock the last time was for just a few days at a hotel.(A bit of advice) it would have been nice to see info on the local area, like restaurants maybe some tourist maps & info on the area that we could visit on our daily walks. It helped that we had friends in the area that helped us out with directions to places they thought we would enjoy. I’m telling you this because if I recall correctly this is your first year in renting this coach house and you must remember you are receiving guests from outside your province and not all people have smart phones or tablets to help them find these places. We had our laptop so it was no problem, but I did have to contact you for password for the Wi-Fi. We have travelled south to the U.S. several times and all condos we rented had a complete info sheet with all required information.
Now for the big “but”. When we arrived just like all people we checked the place out, my wife found the bathroom not as clean as she felt it should have been she pointed out grit in bottom of the tub, she slipped off her sandals and walked on the floor barefoot and felt dirt on the floor. We went to the local dollar store bought a plastic bucket and some cleaning supplies. After cleaning the bathroom & floors she & I cleaned any dishes or cooking utensils before using them.
Now for the people that may be thinking of renting this coach house we have to remember all people live and learn from their mistakes. I’m certain the owners will address the concerns we had with the coach house
Besides the first day disappointments we really enjoyed our stay.
Regards
Larry & Pat

About the host
Hosted by Glenda & Derek Ploegman
We have been married for 30 years and moved to the west coast 5 years ago. We are attracted to the weather on the coast, after living on the Prairie and weathering through many years of Prairie winters and hot hot summers. We had family in the area that we had visited over the years and knew from that how much we appreciated this area.
Why they chose this property
We bought this home with the coach house in mind. Having a vacation rental appealed to us as we have traveled a lot using VRBO rentals. We get half as much rain in this area through the winters as Vancouver, North Van, etc. The average summer temperature ranges from 21 degrees to 25 degrees. The location to the water -- even if it is for a brisk walk is the best part of renting here. We were naturally attracted to the location due to the proximity to the beaches.
What makes this property unique
Quiet neighborhood, with a separate entrance. Summer brings beaches or a free outdoor pool just across the street. So much to see and explore in Beautiful BC!
