About this property

Ocean Front ground floor cozy condo with brand new bedroom remodel!


This cozy little Condo is perfectly situated just 60 feet from the edge of the ocean with panoramic views of both Lanai and Molokai! You can watch whales and sea turtles while sipping your morning coffee right from the table on the lanai, or you can explore the area, with Whaler's Village in Kaanapali, the Kapalua Coastal trail, and some of the most beautiful beach in the world just 5-15 minutes away!!

In April 2019 we finished some great improvements including a brand new king mattress in the bedroom, total kitchen remodel with all new appliances, new queen size sleeper sofa with memory foam mattress, beautiful vinyl flooring, and we think the results are amazing! In November 2024 we gave the bedroom a much needed transformation, and we hope you enjoy the new look as well as a brand-new wifi t.v. for watching movies from the comfort of your bed!

If you are looking to stay close to home, you can choose from the pool, lawn chairs along the sea wall, or our own little quiet sandy beach area to the north of the building complex to relax around, or you can use the Condo as your launch pad for all the amazing places to explore on the island! In our opinion, there is no where better to be then our front yard for taking in the breath taking beautiful of Maui sunsets!

The Kitchen is fully equipped, and the community BBQ is also available for your use just to the right of our unit!!

We have beach towels, beach chairs, boogie boards, and snorkels available for your use!!

PLEASE NOTE THAT OUR CONDO DOES NOT HAVE AC. However it does have a wonderful breezeway, ceiling fans, and floor fans.

This Condo has been in our family for more than 23 years, so whether this is a family vacation, or romantic getaway, we hope you will be our guest, and enjoy a wonderful time on the beautiful island of Maui!!

I fell in love with this place the second I laid eyes on it! Very clean and the decor is so cute and welcoming. The view is amazing! I have been to Maui many times and have stayed in a variety of locations, but moving forward, this is definitely my place of choice!

Great location, the condo is well stocked and the bed is very comfortable. We love being on the first floor, we saw many whales from our patio. Owners quickly responded to messages. Kahana Reef is a small, quiet condo property, which we like. The laundry facilities are convenient and clean so we didn’t mind not having them in our unit.

Location was great, the beach access was nice. About 50mins away from Kīhei and Paia. House was stocked with everything minus a cooler. That would have been nice for beach days. Hosts communicated well. Would recommend and stay again.

Comfortable unit with amazing views!

This unit was comfortable for my husband and I. We loved sitting on a lounger under the palm trees and listening to the waves. We snorkeled right in front of our unit and swam with turtles, it was magical! We found enough places nearby to eat and driving to lahaina was not that far of a drive!

Kahana Reef is an excellent location. Close to shopping and multiple beaches.

This cozy little spot beautifully overlooking the Hawaiian Islands of Lanai and Molokai has been in our family for 18 years, purchased the year my husband and I got married. My parents, Dave and Sandy, mainly used it as a winter retreat seeking a reprieve from the cold winters of Northern Idaho.
After my Dad’s passing in 2017, we began to consider how best to manage it for the future. Makana is the Hawaiian word for gift. The Hawaiian Islands were very special to both my parents, but my dad especially really loved it here. Being able to keep this beautiful spot in our family feels like a gift that he has left behind for his kids, his grandkids, and I hope his great grandkids!






Why they chose this property

You can’t spend 5 minutes on the Hawaiian islands without recognizing what a incredible gift this beautiful island is to it’s occupants and many visitors. Makana at Kahana Reef, or the gift at Kahana Reef, reflects our thankfulness to God for blessing us with such a gift in His vibrant creation so apparent as you listen to the bird song, smell the fragrance of all the different varieties of flowers, watch the whales breaching just off the shores, and on and on as you wander through this incredible island.
My dad was a retired law Enforcement officer for the U.S. Forest Service. You’ll find ‘his’ coffee cup in the cupboards! If you use it, consider sending up a quick prayer for your local law enforcement community! :0)
On a practical note, we have just finished major renovations of the Condo this past April 2019. We plan to finish next year by completing the bathroom makeover, new flooring in the bedroom, new ceiling, and tiling on the lanai. We hope you enjoy the improvements, and appreciate your understanding that there are still some parts of the condo with some character left from the old days! :0) Also, as some of our first guests, please let us know how we might better equip the condo to make it a even more enjoyable stay! If there is something we missed, we’d love to hear about it!

What makes this property unique

The best thing in our opinion about this condo is it's location!! The Ocean is your front yard, with so many places to enjoy right on location, but Kahana is also a incredible location for seeing some of the most beautiful parts of Maui!!
