Vineyards, olive groves, and oak forests surround the estate, dominated by the iconic Tower of Galatrona, whose origins trace back to Etruscan and Roman times. Several of Petrolo’s celebrated wines, including the “Torrione” and “Galatrona,” take their names from this ancient landmark. The villa also faces the Romanesque Pieve of Galatrona, home to precious Renaissance works by Giovanni della Robbia. Three small lakes on the property offer peaceful spots for walking or fishing.
Wine Cellar Visits Guided tours and tastings can be arranged, allowing guests to discover Petrolo’s prestigious wine production firsthand.

The staff, the food, the pool, the tennis court and ping pong table...everything was amazing! Highly recommend Petrolo for large groups that want to relax and celebrate like we did :)
Everything was even more amazing than we could have imagined. Marco, Laura and the entire staff were beyond incredible and did everything to make our stay so special. We had the most magical wedding here and we’ll be making it a yearly trip!
Our group of 18 had a wonderful time and everyone was raving about the Villa, the staff and location. It was comfortable and clean and had everything we needed. The catering was excellent too. Several of us were discussing the possibility of coming back since it had been such an enjoyable experience.
My wife and I celebrated our wedding here with a small group of family members. We were overwhelmed by the thoughtfulness and generosity of the staff, who helped us in countless ways in order for our ceremony to be exactly what we imagined. Thank you Villa Petrolo! We couldn't have asked for anything more- it was a trip of a lifetime.

Just fabulous. The Villa, the house team, the food and the location were perfect for our 40th anniversary celebrations. If we needed anything the Petrolo team sorted it. It is much more than can be given in a review it was our home for one week and we could not have asked for more. I would love to return one day.

Villa was the perfect place. Marco our host was very attentive and helpful. Space for all 27 to relax and have fun from ages 3 to 76. Food by private chef delicious. Pool great size and vey clean. Loved hiking around the grounds. Good location for all family members to make daily excursions. Wine tasting and tour excellent. Accommodations were wonderful…we were there at the hottest time so Marco help with an in room AC and many fans for the third floor. It all worked out.
We booked our stay at Villa Petrolo to host 20 guests (and one toddler) for a wedding/elopement. Our stay was fantastic from start to finish. The villa itself is beautifully decorated and looks even better in person. Each room has its own personality and there is plenty of space for everyone to enjoy time as a group or alone. The grounds are peaceful, picturesque and well taken care of.
Thank you to Marco who was responsive, answered all of our questions and was extremely helpful with booking and throughout our stay. We had a wine tasting and a cooking class that everyone loved! Laura and Francesca were an absolute delight and were so kind and helpful. Everyone at Villa Petrolo really made our stay stress free and ensured the wedding day went seamlessly and according to plan. We all had the most amazing time!
Perfect setting for a large international group of all ages looking to converge for a week in the Tuscan countryside on the occasion of our wedding celebration!

Thanks Irina,
It's been great to have such wonderful group staying with us. I'm looking forward to celebrate next anniversary!
We had our wedding at Villa Petrolo! We stayed there for 5 days with 25-30 family members. The villa is amazing. The staff are amazing. Good location (near train station and grocery store).
We stayed in April and it was kind of cold in the villa (even with the heater running), but totally worth it, just make sure you bring warm comfy clothes to sleep in. :)
