This is a large queen room fit for royalty. Kitchen privileges, use of washer and dryer, your own full-sized refrigerator and a mini fridge near your room, and pool. Across the street from the Hillsborough River in an incredibly beautiful, older neighborhood lined with oaks. Close to bus lines to downtown and Ybor City. One mile off I-75.
Your 2nd floor room features a wonderfully comfortable queen-sized bed with ample pillows, 100% cotton sheets and quilt (that have been washed and bleached in hot water) underneath a remote controlled ceiling fan. Original heart pine hardwood floors and plenty of windows to let the sun shine in. A large flat screen television with Amazon Fire Stick is on the wall for your entertainment needs. If that's not your thing, then feel free to read a good book or write a postcard or use your laptop on the writing table. Wake up to a fresh pot of Brazilian coffee made by you at our coffee and tea bar. Enjoy a strawberry and blueberry muffin, or sugar cookies, or fresh fruit located at the coffee bar. Bottled water is always available, too. Beyond your room is a dressing room with a huge armoire for your clothes. You have your own private access from this room to a shared bathroom.
We are close to Busch Gardens, University of South Florida, H Lee Moffitt Cancer Center, Verizon Data Services, James A Haley VA Hospital and the Museum of Science and Industry.

Great nine day stay

I had a wonderful stay with Suejette and Bernie, they were so kind and nice, went out of their way to make me feel welcome and were a mine of helpful information regarding the sight seeing visits to choose from, directions and advice. The room was lovely and having the use of the kitchen was a huge bonus as I was travelling alone and not inclined to dine out every night. The location of the house was perfect, quiet and peaceful in a pretty neighbourhood and it was nice to 'come home' after a busy day of activities. It is close to the main highways and there are all the amenities you need in the local area. Bernie and Suejette were happy for me to hang around the house if I wanted a rest day and having the pool area was a big extra - the dogs and I had some nice little sunbathing sessions out there. For me I think the best touch of all was the fresh coffee and homemade cake provided in the morning - it just set me up for the day. Overall I can't say enough good things about my stay and 100% recommend the property and the hosts.

Bernie and Suejette were more than hospitable!! We were going to an event at a venue close to their bed and breakfast, so we decided to give it a try. Plans didn’t work out as we were hoping, so we ended up getting to their home later than expected. Bernie was waiting up to greet us and he showed us to our room. The room was charming and welcoming and the bed was like sleeping on a cloud! In the morning we had fresh coffee waiting as well as homemade pastries, and lets not forget to mention quite a nice fruit selection. We enjoyed the coffee and the homemade bread was to die for!! We were in a rush to leave, however Bernie and Suejette we’re waiting to say goodbye!! How sweet!! We would certainly recommend this bed and breakfast for anyone looking to stay somewhere other than a hotel!!

Home away from home.....

Nice neighbourhood and easy access to highways, shopping, eating establishments, visitor sites. Suejette and Bernie have a beautiful home and are welcoming hosts. They will be there, for you, if you have any questions and will give you your privacy should you wish that too. Their house smells like something wonderful is cooking in the oven and it was nice to come home to after being out all day. The bed was fantastic as was the coffee and baked goods left each morning. Suejette and Bernie were the perfect hosts. Great property, immaculately kept and well located with a handy guide prepared by the hosts to assist any traveler with making a decision about where to go, what to eat, etc. AND the day I arrived the whole house smelled my like fresh baked apple pie! As described, coffee and fresh cookies/pastries are available as are other meals upon request. Highly recommend this property for your next visit to Tampa!

Perfect stay for a Tampa getaway

We drove down to Tampa from Savannah, GA to see The Wallflowers concert at the Seminole Hard Rock Cafe. Since we were visiting over the July 4 weekend, we wanted to be budget conscious and this B&B fit the bill perfectly. Bernie and Suejette were more than accommodating and made sure we had a pleasant stay. Suejette reached out prior to our visit to see if we any specific food allergies, there was also coffee available in the morning and a menu option for meals. The room was lovely, the bed was comfortable, the entire house very clean and we felt very secure. The neighborhood is lovely, and very quiet. When I booked the room, I didn't realize there was a shared restroom for guests (I didn't read closely enough). But, it was a non-issue as we never had any problems accessing the facilities when we needed to. Thank you Bernie and Suejette for a wonderful stay! The vrbo does the pictures credit. Clean, quiet, peaceful, safe. Staff are friendly and fun to speak with. I highly recommend ordering dinner from the kitchen. The braised lamb shank is a stand out item. It's really hard not to enjoy the place.

Tampa in October

This was a comfortable b&b located in a quiet neighborhood. Bernie & Suejette were outstanding hosts that did more than expected. Most of all we felt safe and that our posessions were secure. They will be our first choice every time we visit family in Tampa. And, be sure to ask for the homemade apple sauce breakfast cake!

We really enjoyed our stay with Suejette and Bernie. Their house is conveniently located and has easy access to the highway. They went out of their way to make us feel welcome, even staying up late to make sure our check in was seamless when we arrived pretty late the first night. The daily coffee bar was amazing and we especially liked the chocolate dipped strawberries. The bedroom was artful, welcoming and clean, and the bed was super comfortable. Our hosts made sure we had everything we needed including reading materials and went above and beyond to ensure that our stressful trip was successful. We are so grateful for their assistance. Definitely a five -star accommodation. We recommend them highly for a gracious, inexpensive solution when staying in Tampa!

This was my first experience with HomeAway and I daresay it was a good one. The room was decorated adorably and had its own key. The bed was crazy comfortable and as promised, the neighborhood was quiet and safe. I greatly enjoyed my stay and I cannot thank Bernie and Suejette enough for their kindness. They were always about to answer questions or to chit chat with in the mornings. I appreciated their hospitality and if I'm ever in Tampa again, I know who I'm staying with!

A hidden diamond amongst many other choices. I highly recommend the couple who welcome strangers into their very beautifully decorated home. It was my honeymoon and first experience with Tampa and staying in a B&B. I hope they continue and I can visit again. Neither my husband or I knew or even heard of them before however I instantly felt like we were a part of their Christmas and family. I sure would love to spend every single holiday with them. Great food and wonderful accommodation not far from the Gulf of Mexico beaches, cruise ships, Bush Gardens, The Holyland Experience and Disney.
