Nestled in the Animas River Valley surrounded by the San Juan Mountains, the breathtaking mountain town of historic Durango awaits.



With the Animas River—El Río de las Animas (River of Souls)—running through and just steps away from San Juan National Forest, this is the ideal getaway for outdoor aficionados with gold medal fly fishing waters, whitewater rafting, kayaking and canoeing. Durango is also popular for outdoor activities like hiking, mountain biking, road biking, backpacking, slacklining, rock climbing, hunting, off-roading, year-round fishing, and golfing. A visit to Durango would not be complete without a ride on the Durango & Silverton Narrow Gauge Railroad, with stunning mountain scenery and an education on the area's mining history.



The Durango Resort offers apartment-style accommodation with fully equipped kitchens, a fitness center and two outdoor hot tubs with breathtaking mountain views.



The resort assigns the specific unit around the time of check-in so your view may vary. Let us know if you have a preference to be near a specific location throughout the resort or if you would like a specific view. We will gladly notate your preference and send this over to the resort as your stay gets closer. Please notate that requests are not guaranteed.

By far the best stay I’ve had! Friendly, accommodating, and sooo very clean! The beds were heavenly, so comfy. There’s construction around the corner and yet very quiet. I can’t say enough good things about the staff. And did I mention how clean??? Highly recommend!

Great resort option

We loved staying here. All rooms have a kitchen so it was great to be able to bake pizzas one night. Perfect for couples or families. They have a hot tub and game room. Right by Main Street and also walking distance from the train. Great location. We totally recommend it.

This location is great if you want to be near the Durango rail station or near the shops and restaurants. The condo was very nicely appointed with very nice bed and bath linens. There is a full size microwave, oven, dishwasher and refrigerator. The unit was extremely clean.The building has a front desk, so the check-in process is similar to that of a hotel. We would recommend this to others for a stay if looking for a hotel-like experience with a full kitchen and wanting easy on foot access to the rail station and the main strip of Durango.

Two day getaway

The property is conveniently located in the heart of downtown, with easy access to shops, restaurants and the train station. Pricing was quite reasonable, beating the price of most hotels.

Great place

It was a great place to stay as it was clean and quiet. Also the location was as we were able to walk everywhere we wanted to go downtown. Alex and others were very helpful and polite, answered all our questions. We had a great time in Durango.

These condos are right near downtown and the train depot, so you can walk everywhere. Very close to the river trail too. The staff, especially Alex, are very friendly and accommodating as well.

I enjoyed the location and property. It’s a nice efficiency. Albeit, a littlle dated, the property was a great value, comfortable bed and well maintained kitchen. I would rent again.

Awesome Spot

My husband and I stayed here for 2 nights with our baby and we had the best time! It was super close to downtown so we walked everywhere. The hot tubs on the roof were nice for us to relax at night. The front desk staff was so friendly and accommodating. We will definitely stay here again next time we are in Durango.

Great location

The place had everything we needed including a big comfortable bed. But the best part was checking in with Amy, who worked the front desk the whole weekend. She was so helpful on recommendations for restaurants and things to do around town. She was fantastic and after a long day of driving was very welcoming.

Great location

We looked for a place close to the historic downtown area and train depot. We couldn't have picked a better location. The only negative things would be that the description of the property claimed mountain views and we couldnt see any from the hotel and the TV didnt offer much to watch but it wasnt a game changer. Overall, we loved our stay. any of thise from the hotel.

This property is within walking distance to Durango train station, shopping, food. Our room was clean and comfortable. Staff was very friendly and helpful! Free laundry with supplies! We enjoyed the jacuzzi tub but the cover blocks the view when you take it off.

Perfect location

Location was even better than I thought. Only a few minute walk to the station for the DSNGRR excursion. Staff were great, from front desk to maintenance. Unit was small, but had separate bedroom, which was nice, but not what I saw when choosing it. I wasn’t disappointed, but just surprised.

The property was very clean and had a super comfortable bed. The balcony off the bedroom had a great view across to the mountains. The apartment had everything needed for a self catering holiday. There were building works going on immediately outside the hotel, however we were not disturbed by any noise. The only small complaint was the additional parking charge of $12.00 per day which we were unaware of. Otherwise we had a fabulous stay and would highly recommend this apartment.
