We loved the property, and location. Walking distance to everything! Very clean and well kept property. The staff was also very very friendly and helpful with anything from questions we had to any amenities we needed.
Nice resort, pleasant people working there. Beds very comfy even the pull out. They offer some fun things to do in the game room like cookie decorating, grilled cheese and tomato soup evening, ect. Pool and hot tub were nice to get in after a day of walking around. Easy walk to the riverwalk.
Great Location, Nice Property, Listing should be Updated
The property should have advised us of the construction that was going on during our stay. This includes construction noise, and the fact the pool was not open. Otherwise it appears to be a nice property with a great location.
Location wasn't right downtown but about 5 to 10 minutes walk and you are withing arms reach of whatever you want. The area felt very safe and clean. The place itself was super clean and accommodating and huuuge. We got the 2 bedroom 2 bathroom suite and rooms were very nice size living room with pullout sleeper sofa was huge. Would 100% stay at this place again.
The Wyndham was a great place to stay. Located right off the San Antonio River Walk. The condos were new and very clean. Everything you need. The kitchen was fully stocked with all dishes and amenities needed. There is a grocery store very close walking distance. The pool area was very nice. Everything was brand new. The staff was very nice and helpful as well.

Roomy and comfortable
Our 2 bedroom suite was perfect for our trip with our son and daughter-in-law. There were a few issues at check-in. We were originally given a room with a king bed and 2 doubles but I had requested 2 kings. We were quickly moved to another room, however, upon arrival, it was still being cleaned, so there was some confusion and a short delay. The room itself was lovely but it was handicap accessible. Not too much of an issue, but the one bathroom had no door knob but rather a sliding door with a rectangular metal panel that was used to open and close. The problem was it was difficult to use and needed to be almost banged hard to open, creating a lot of noise every time we left the bathroom, sometimes in the late night. Overall, though, a spacious area that served all 4 adults well. Close to Riverwalk and downtown, were able to walk most places.

Misleading information on Listing
The listing did not identify themselves as a Wyndham Resort. The only reason that is an issue is they are using VRBO to sell vacation packages at their resort. Our party of 4 was asked by the following people at the resort if we would attend a 90-minute presentation: once at check in, three times when we asked the concierge for help, once at the river walk, they identify you by the bracelets they give you when checking in. Each of these people were extremely nice and took no for an answer. However, someone called me on my cellphone while we were on a tour. The man was aggressive and rude. It is hard to imagine why this company thinks we are willing to give up our vacation time for an inexpensive gift.
The hotel needs some updating which they are in the process of doing. However, in our room, the windows were broken, allowing excess noise into the bedroom. A nearby train was blowing its horn at night and early in the morning making it difficult to sleep. The plumbing literally bangs when you try to use the shower. The furniture looks good, but unless you sit with your back perfectly straight forget about being comfortable.
Please note I have used VBRO for 10 years and this is the only negative response I ever posted. The spaces we used from this service exceeded our expectations. If you don’t mind losing 90 minutes of your life and not being able to sleep, in exchange for an inexpensive tour this maybe the place for you!

Short visit
Condo was clean and comfortable. Easy access to Riverwalk. Hotel staff, friendly.
The two bedroom two bath place was very comfortable, right off river walk and the grand babies really enjoyed the swimming pool. It was perfect for their size and the little one (2.5 years old) turned into a fish. Getting ready for Olympics next!
The room was exactly what we wanted. It was close to Restaurant Row at the River Walk and the Alamo. The staff was very nice and courteous. The valets were super quick every time we requested our truck. We would definitely stay here again.

Our check in
Wyndham did not have available what I reserved which was a 2bedroom, 2bath, with 3 beds. They only had a place with 2 beds which was not going to work. I had to have 3 beds, which is what I paid for. They told me I had to call VRBO. So I did, had to leave a message and wait for someone to call back. While waiting the front desk came to me to tell me a place became available. But I had to wait 2 more hours for it to be ready. That is what we did and we finally got what we paid for. Except for this it was a clean, perfect for our stay. Staff was friendly.
Skip it unless you like rude staff and no amenities
There is a parade of salesman running people through this building trying to sell timeshares. The other workers (concierge, front desk) are not friendly or helpful. In fact, it seemed the front desk went out of their way to not be helpful. The room wasn't ready at 4 pm check-in and the employee was bothered that we asked when it would be ready or when asked what else can we do while waiting for our room. The pool is at limited capacity (Texas is wide open) but they have no way to "check" besides going up to the 6th floor and won't tell you how many are allowed. It's a hassle to even gain access to the pool since there is not a sign-up list or you have to get an employee to take you there. When we did get to our room, it was clear that the room had been ready for quite some time since the maids were on the other end of the hall and it didn't smell freshly cleaned as if they just finished. (Sidenote the next day they started in the morning on our end of the hall). Also, the fitness room is reservation only, 1 person per unit, and doesn't start until 9 am so my friend and I couldn't even work out together, not to mention such a late time that a fitness room would open. I am not interested in working out alone or with strangers as a woman. All in all, the 2 bedroom suite is spacious but with not being able to use the amenities, the unhelpful staff, no late or early check-ins, and with so many other nice hotel options around, I would definitely go elsewhare.
Owner Was not truthful or forthcoming when ask if pool was open. On Feb 3rd
February 3rd I ask if the pool was open I still had 3 days to cancel for a full 100% refund. The owner response is below:
The gym is the only closed amenity.
Then March 2nd when final pymt was due this was the owner response march 2nd when final pymt was due. Too late to cancel for 100% refund
Hi Regina,
The pay is set up for autopayment. I just called and spoke with the resort. The pool has now closed due to construction. The pool table and arcade are open but the gym is still closed.
Warm Regards,
Michelle
At check in I found out pool has been closed ALL YEAR. STRAIGHT UP WAS NOT TRUTHFUL. THEY ADVERTISE TO ROOF TOP POOL AND HOT TUB AND ITS NOT BEEN OPEN A YEAR. VERY DISHONEST
This unit is wonderful! It was spotless, well stocked, and the beds were quite comfortable. I enjoyed the balcony overlooking the Riverwalk and the city. Everything was exactly as pictured, and the location is perfect. It is on the Riverwalk, and a short walk the mall, tower of America, the Alamo, and a host of fun restaurants. The staff was wonderful, and the concierge very helpful. They were even able to set us up with a great reservation at the Chart room in the tower overlooking the city, and I highly recommend you make use of their services. The parking in the on-site garage is $22 a day, but if you choose to attend a presentation about their resort program they may cover it for you. (Ours was covered). The sales presentation you attend, if you choose to do so, is low key, short and actually interesting- definitely worth it for all they comp you for.
I will definately stay here again, and recommend it to my friends.
