Claytonna was the best host ever. We felt like we knew her forever and she treated us like family. She provided us so much information, including an excellent place for dinner and made a delicious breakfast for us. We can’t wait to go back.
Our host were welcoming, super nice, and very friendly. We had an amazing stay. Their cottage is cozy and beautiful. We will return in the near future to stay with them and hike the area again.
Mark and I really enjoyed our stay. Very accommodating and always had breakfast ready for you. I would stay here again. The treehouse looked like a winner for next stay😎
We were so lucky to find this place. Right near Ricketts Glen State Park which has a must hike waterfall trail. Place is welcoming. Beautiful birds. Outdoor fireplace. Great breakfast. Friendly hosts.
We had a wonderful stay! The house was so sweet and accommodating, and the place was clean, comfortable, and full of charm. It was very easy to relax and enjoy our time here- highly recommend!
Literally from the time we got out of the car, it felt as if we had arrived to stay the weekend at a long time friends home. After checking in, we were given several recommendations for dinner, then returned back to The Cottage to enjoy conversation, games and a fire with the hosts and other guests. A delcious home cooked breakfast was served to all around a large dining table. It was a very quiet peaceful getaway and just down the road from Ricketts Glen where we hiked the beautiful Falls Trail. Thank you Claytonna and Dave for your wonderful hospitality!
It felt like we were visiting family. We enjoyed the personal touch. Everything was clean and comfortable. We thought we would have 2 small rooms but had 1 large one which was fine.
Very nice property. Host was amazing. Breakfast was awesome. Very convenient to stay there and go hiking at a Ricketts Glen. Am definitely going back next year.
This is one of the best Bed and Breakfast we have stayed in. From the moment we walked in with a greeting to the relaxing nights by a fire. The hosts were very personable and accommodating. Breakfast each morning was delicious. The cottage and surroundings were beautiful. So many little touches made it a very enjoyable stay.
We had the most wonderful time staying here at Cottage in the Woods! This charming bed and breakfast was absolutely delightful and lovely in every way. The hosts are so warm, friendly, knowledgeable, and accommodating. The setting was peaceful, breakfast was delicious, and it has great proximity to Ricketts Glen parking areas. Cottage in the Woods was the perfect retreat after a day of hiking the stunning waterfall trails. We will surely stay here again in the future!
Lovely accommodations.
Even more lovely hosts. Thank you Dave and Claytonna!
Felt a bit like visiting family.
Warm, cozy, and great breakfasts!
It finally got cool enough for the "outside" fire.
It all was splendid ...
The location is fabulous, room was nice. Well decorated and pretty plants outside. The breakfast was very disappointing. Tough pancakes, bland cold scrambled eggs, watered down coffee, mostly mushy fruit, undercooked bacon. It was our first time at a B&B and really was looking forward to the breakfast, heard that’s what B&B are known for and the pics of the food on the website looked amazing.
