Quintessential Kiwi bach on a quiet cul-de-sac with access at the end of street to the beautiful Naseby Forest. Perfect for families. Set up for 7 guests. House includes games, toys, sports gear, DVDs and books. Come and enjoy all Naseby has to offer (restaurants/pubs, biking, fishing, swimming, hiking, camping, ice skating, dog sledding, luge, curling, ski touring).
The cottage was built in the '60s, and the décor reflects this - fairly old-fashioned. So if you want a stay in an old-fashioned family bach that's cosy in the winter and cool in the summer, then this is the place. Not flash, but cosy with a bit of old-world charm. Also, please note that access to the 2nd bedroom (with two singles) is through the main bedroom.
A five minute walk through the forest to the famous Swimming Dam and playground, and in the other direction, just a five minute walk to the historic pubs of Naseby, the store with its ice creams and the domain and playground. Borrow some of the sports gear (tennis rackets, cricket set, basketball, football, sleds) available to guests and have a traditional Kiwi family holiday. Or head out and explore the Rail Trail or the Oteake Conservation Park (hiking, camping and biking).
The cottage has a large garage for securely storing your outdoor gear such as bikes.
An option to leave the cleaning to professionals when you depart is available for an additional fee.

A wonderful little house and was great to be able to walk everywhere. Lovely wood burner made it very cozy for our winter stay and would also be magic in summer with all the surrounding trees. Super friendly communication with the owners. A perfect relaxing stay
Cute cottage that had everything we needed, including a good fire and plenty of wood. Great communication from the host. Thanks for a lovely stay.

Thanks Bridget! So glad you enjoyed your stay :) I was there last week and retiled the kitchen, hallway and loo floors, so it is even better now! Regards Gavin
Easy booking and great location as a base. The house is older but functional and with a wood fire is warm, and with supplied board games and books is a great place for a group to stay.
Lovely family bach, with an easy stroll in to town, and right by the edge of the forest with fantastic walking and biking tracks. Comfortable and warm. A great selection of toys and books that kept our toddler occupied when indoors. Prompt and great communication from our host. Thankyou, loved our stay here.
Alison and family.
House has everything you need great selection of DVDs and games. On the surface house is clean, but had an overwhelming musty smell, was dusty and was overdue a deeper clean, nothing in house has ever been updated, it appears - bathroom was interesting!
We had a fabulous time in Naseby and at this property. As advertised, it's not flash, but it's a kiwi Bach, with all the required comforts (woodburner, comfy chairs, lots of games and DVDs). Location is great, an easy walk to the cafe and pub where we had lovely meals, otherwise we cooked in well equipped kitchen. Was freezing in Naseby (-2) but lovely having snow, and house was warm with fire cranking and there was lots of wood available. Also great tips from hosts of family friendly stuff to do, we ran out of time but enjoyed biking, ice skating and smashing ice in puddles and playing in the snow!
