Cute little Cabin
Studio size 1 room cabin super cozy and cute. Very remote the roads are not great the closer you get. Only complaint I have is the sprinkler system that goes off around midnight… so don’t set tents up or leave anything outside bc the water smelled like a sewer it was disgusting. Which made the Mosquitos absolutely unbearable. Other than that we had a great trip
I have been stressed lately, and it has been a good while since i have gone on a little vacation. My dog and I enjoyed our stay! The lake was awesome! Nice and quiet, cozy cabin! We will definitely be coming back! Thanks!

Great to hear you were able to relax. Hope to see you back soon
The little glamping cabin was perfect for our short weekend stay! It was well kept, clean and worked great for my family of 4. It is small - all sleeping in one room, so be sure you're good with the close quarters! The surrounding site was peaceful and quiet.
Property was adorable! But a lot smaller than it looks in picture. We cut our stay short due to my husband was bit by a copper head walking off the porch. So be cautious of that !!

Thanksgiving
We are thankful the owners recognize dogs are part of the family. We wanted off the grid and boom, there is a perfect place. The listing said, sleeps four but only linens for two, and there was a cold front. We unfortunately was canceled on Thanksgiving day but worked with owners to resolve issue. We would recommend this cabin to parties size of single or doubles.

Thank you for staying with us and hope you will visit again
I love it out there. The cabin is the right size for me to stay at. Great not to hear the huzzle and buzzle of the city life.
Quiet and peaceful. They do have coco.
The only thing that is wrong with the place there is a shelf above my head very easy to his head. I will book again.

Cute but…
Listing says it sleeps 4 adults so we invited friends and messaged to add 2 adults I was told it would not sleep 4.
While that is VERY true, the listing clearly stated sleeps 4 adults.
I took some time to think through what was most important to cover. The property was not properly set up for the weather that occurs late fall through winter in this area. During my visit temperatures were below 40 degrees and this is not unusual. 1. The unit had 1 light comforter for the bed. 2.The air unit was set to air conditioning mode and the ceiling fan was turned on and the chain had been intentionally removed to not allow it to be changed. 3.the VRBo host provided no digital or onsite instructions or instruction manuals for running the mini split air unit. I was not able to locate a user manual online either. 4. Even though there was a manual for a space heater in a drawer there was no space heater in the unit. 5. The inside temperatures of the unit during my night time on the evening of 11/26 probably ranged from 63 to below 60. That is a gracious estimate and considering I have had some experience with no power and watching undo temps fall. 6. Communication-The host did little to give feedback or ask if I needed more instruction about using the air unit after my opening question Thurs.morning about the unit. The response was only that I should set it for works for me. Most importantly the hosts took a silence approach and did not follow up or ask any questions after I said I wasleaving early b/c of the untenable indoor temps at night. I had brought a wool blanket, a heated lap blanket and a dog. I slept fully clothed. That is how I was able to stay.

Kari, we are sorry to hear this was your experience. We would have much preferred to hear about your struggles while you were actually here.
When you asked if there was a specific setting for the heating unit we responded 5 minutes later that you could adjust the temperature to whatever was comfortable for you.
There was zero mention of being cold, or that you were having trouble with the unit. Had you informed us of either of these things we would have been happy to drop in for assistance.
A few corrections to assumptions you reported in your review:
The fan has a remote that is hung in plain view on the wall to adjust the speed and direction, there never was a chain.
The split unit heats and cools, and due to the compact size of our cabins they heat and cool quickly.
The units are commonly set to AC mode as a default until January and February around here. It was sunny and in the 70s a few days before you arrived.
Your accusation that we were taking the silent approach is inaccurate. As a general rule we like to allow our guests to enjoy their stay without interference from us.
Of course if you had informed us the temperature in your cabin wasn’t working for you, we would have personally delivered additional blankets, a space heater and offered assistance with the unit operation.
Ultimately, we cannot correct issues we did not know exist. We apologize for your inconvenience and hope you stay warm this winter!

Host unreliable
I got there late because of unfortunate events to a Cabin with no electric due to a blown transformer, ok that was unexpected but electric was back on in an hour or so however the wifi never came back on & I have no service so I couldn't even contact anyone. The next morning the coffee maker isn't working nor the kitchenette light so after I left for my day when I had service I messaged to let host know about the non working issues. They said they would go have a look later that day. No more contact. I go back in middle of day to change for another event & stuff is still not working, when I got back later that night, still nothing at which time I find that the fridge & microwave are not working either. I had plans to relax Sunday morning before leaving however with no coffee, no way to heat up my breakfast, no way to reach out & contact anyone without leaving because of no service & no Internet, I had to leave early. Therefore the whole purpose of the cabin was ruined for me.

Brandy,
We are sorry to see your review of our property.
Lightning striking the transformer on our property was an unexpected occurrence that unfortunately affected all of the services and devices you mentioned. It also affected our ability to effectively communicate with you via this app, phone or internet.
Due to this we incurred significant financial losses including replacement amenities, paying service people to repair the electrical and the 2 nights we refunded you for your inconvenience.
Circumstances beyond anyone’s control were at play here and we are disappointed that you feel like a one star review was deserved in this instance. We wish you the best.
Cabin as expected. As arrived found manager thru another vistor to a cabin, no answer when we tried to call. Got in cabin after driving 4 hrs..In a few minutes she came to cabin and told us no running water but would have shortly. After waiting 3 hrs, with no response by phone or personally' packed up went by owner's place as it was turning dark and to door. She came to door and said we would get a full refund. We received a e-mail that refund was in the works but we never received it. Since we were charged so many fees . Have been looking for credit on credit card and received 1 for $150.00 damaged ins. refund. Not good enough. It's been 3 weeks, it has been 3 weeks.!!!!!!!!!!!!
Loved the quiet location and beautiful property. Enjoyed my time and will definitely be back.

challenging stay, just above staying in a tent
Here are the areas we found challenging: No closet, no place for luggage, no table & chairs to eat (this was a cooking cabin). Problems/suggestions for correction: stool would not flush paper & float had to be manually pushed down 50% of time; toliet seat was loose & slid around. Only a trickle of hot water in bathroom sink & poor drainage; shelf obstrucked use of sink. Memory foam mattress was well worn & sunk down, dirty bedspread; a bunch of pillows with no place to put them. The futon legs were removed & sitting on cinder blocks; stool was well worn. Frig was good; ice cubes were evaporated. Kitchen sink had poor drainage, faucett head would not retract making it difficult to wash dishes. Mold in the water reservoir of Kerurig & drip pan. A/C heating unit would not heat. We were given 1 set of towels for a 4 day stay; no comments on how to get more linens.
We had to pay a cleaning fee for a place that would take only 1 hour to clean in addition to the required insurance fee plus a security deposit which was returned. For these kind of prices, the product should have been of much better quality.
Reservations were a breeze making the start of our “weekend get away” perfect.
Our goal was to “unplug” from society and the vast stress and headaches associated with daily living and this was the perfect place to disengage, recharge and refresh ourselves.
