The room was so pleasant and clean and the view of Puget Sound was very nice. Our host was very accommodating and responded to texts immediately. The parking was close to the entrance to our room. The property is in a very nice neighborhood of Tacoma with easy access to shopping and the waterfront. We would definitely come back to this property again.

The property was unfortunately oversold and underdelivered. Calling the space a “guest house” felt like a stretch—it appeared to be the finished lower level of a garage. The space was very humid with poor airflow and was not as clean as I would have expected. More concerning, the door did not lock. There was also a half-drank Red Bull and a half bottle of wine left in the refrigerator from previous guests. Overall, the property did not live up to the description or my expectations.

We stayed for 4 days in this adorable place! Jocelyn was available and accommodated our every need. The place is very walkable and convenient to shops and restaurants. I would stay there again!

Horrible experience! I arrived at the property at 7:45pm & a key was nowhere to be found. I contacted VRBO & we both began trying to reach the property owner. Two & a half hours passed & neither of us had any luck getting hold of Jocelyn by phone, message or text. VRBO suggested I look for another property so that’s what I (very reluctantly) did. I booked a hotel & ended up paying double what I had already paid for this rental. Checked into the hotel at 10:30pm & heard from Jocelyn about an hour later, apologizing. She stated that she provided “complete instructions” on how to access the property but that wasn’t the case. She was actually at the property the entire time but never noticed calls/texts/emails for approximately 3 hours. Totally unacceptable & a huge inconvenience, to say the least! She tried to shift the blame to me by suggesting she wasn’t expecting a late check in. To top it off, this house is a good distance from the water. To advertise it the way it is advertised is very misleading. I am having to go thru VRBO as well as my bank to get reimbursement on this property; which is not what I should have to be doing. The host is someone I’d never want to deal with again.

Lovely alternative to Conference Location

In Tacoma for a conference and this was much more enjoyable than the dorms! The bed was so plushy and shower pressure was phenomenal!

Great place to stay

Couldn’t have stayed at a better place. Very clean and comfortable. The location is great and drinking coffee watching the sunrise in the morning was fantastic!!! Would recommend to anyone who is looking for a great place to stay!
