Refrigerator did not work. They did nothing.
Walked Into this home and was largely disappointed. Paid a premium for this property as a getaway for a group of friends. First thing we noticed is half the lights on the property don't work. The deal breaker was that the fridge in the kitchen did not work! All the food we brought went bad. All the ice we brought had melted. We are big into cooking and we were extremely disappointed by this. We called them and they sent a tech out who brought 1 tiny cooler with 1 bag of ice and said that the fridge needs repair. The cooler was an Insult. 1 cooler for a house rated at 16 guests? Worst part is destination big bear did nothing to fix it or offer us any form of discount given one of the most important appliances was not working.

Nice, but needs updating...
The house is really nice and roomy, the location on the lake is amazing! There is a nice poker/pool table room and a great theater room. However, the house is very outdated. The AC/heater works unevenly throughout the rooms. Some rooms are extremely hot and others are freezing cold. The hot tub water probably haven’t changed in years. The color of the water and smell coming out is horrible. The floors are squeaking, very hard to sleep if someone is walking in the house... The house has a great potential but needs some love and attention...

A trip of a trip
Lots of plusses. Movie theatre. Huge space. Really nice kitchen. Beautiful spot. Views! Close to town. Games room cool. Staff very nice. Works for a larger group. If you know what it is going in, can be fun. Some watch outs. Definitely old - decor and overall look and feel. A corporate experience from check in to end. Not really a home more like a corporate run facility. Just a little tired. Things needed repair while there. WiFi was not available the entire time and TVs didn’t work first night bc all batteries dead. And all a little trippy. The furniture. A Xmas tree up in April. Hollywood memorabilia. Strange doors and layout. I even had a ceramic large cougar in one of the closets. Some of this can actually make it trippy. Again know what it is and you can have a great time.

Beautiful property but many problems
Pros: nice location, spacious, movie theater Cons: -Refrigerator didn't work for over 24 hours. After the property manager came to look at the fridge, he explained that the hot air was because "it hadn't been used" which doesn't make sense. -Windows screens not secured even on second floor which is a major safety issue especially for kids -Leaking ice machine puddled water on the floor -Garbage disposal wouldn't open -Outside areas were not cleared so we were constantly tracking in leaves, sand, etc This property charges a premium price and the accommodations should be working and safe.
