This adorable cabin is located on the creek at the south end of Sawtooth Valley between Stanley and Sun Valley. Enjoy this rare property within the Sawtooth National Recreation Area, often compared to the Tetons "without all the crowds."

There is a king bed in one room and a bunk bed set in the other, sofa sleeper in the living room. The cabin has a fully stocked kitchen, a large living room area and a great covered porch facing the creek.

Cozy cabin

Enjoyed our stay in a cozy cabin along a creek in a great location for venturing into the Sawtooth mountains. Emily was very accommodating to help make our stay enjoyable in the cabin!

Convenient location

Amazing views and amazing cabin

This place was a dream. Wish we would have stayed more than our 3 days. In the valley with mountains all around. Just a beautiful setting. Loved sitting by the gurgling creek and relaxing/reading. Also enjoyed watching the sheep graze (and fight) on the other side of the creek. Nice hikes close to the place. Cabin is beautiful and well-stocked with everything.

Have stayed at Abe's Chair Cabin three times now...kitchen is well stocked, cabin is comfy and clean. Emily is very attentive to all your questions and needs. Smiley Creek is warm and friendly. If you are looking for a quiet serene getaway this is the place!.

Beautiful Sawtooth mountains

Great little cabin that we happened to stay in 7 years ago. The kitchen is well stocked, the DVD library and the games cabinet too (there is something for everyone). It worked well for our teenage boys and us parents. The little creek in the backyard is an added treat. The dirt roads offered great bike rides right from the house. The restaurant at Smiley Creek is in walking distance but far enough to not hear any noise. And there is so much to do in the valley with the many lakes and mountain trails. We’ll come again.

Smiley Creek 2020

The overall stay was awesome. There are a couple of suggestions. My family are big built people. The dining chairs weren’t very comfortable if you sat in them too long. The carpet/rug in the kitchen felt weird under our feet. Other than that, we hope to stay again some day.

Great place for a getaway! Very cute, quiet, well-equipped and extremely clean cabin! Great proximity to Stanley, Redfish Lake, and Sun Valley. Wildlife viewing right off the front porch... Hope to be back soon!

Classic mountain cabin

We loved the location and the vibe of this creekside cabin! It was perfectly attended to by the housekeeping staff and the creek in the backyard added to the charm of this hidden gem which is a perfect stepping stone for adventure in the Sawtooths and White Cloud mountains.
