short stay in the winter
We enjoyed our stay overall. On the plus side
- good location - it was very easy to get into the Entrance (5 min walk) and other nice places were nearby.
- there was plenty of beds.
- there was everything we needed in the house in terms of amenities - washing machine, dish washer, good TV.
- it was a reasonable size.
On the negative side:
- one of the main reasons that we booked this house was that the add said that there was a heated swimming pool. We thought that sounded too good to be true, especially as it was still heated in winter, and in the end this was too good to be true! On arrival the pool was cold and showed an error message. The guy cutting the lawn said he would look into it. That night I emailed the agents about this. Day 2 - I rang the agents in the morning, and the lady answering the phone rather tersely told me that they would 'look into it' when they got round to it. Day 3 - not heard anything, so called into the office in person and they said that someone would come over at midday to sort it out. Day 4 - the machine was now making lots of noise so we hoped that the pool might be warm by the time we came back from our day out. Day 5 - still cold. Never used it. This was a big disappointment, what would have been better would have been if they had said on the add the pool heater was temperamental and if we had an apology.
