"Dolphin View" has been a wonderful favorite of guests for years. This well known beauty is one of the most updated, most beautiful homes Pawleys Island has to offer. The interior is brand new throughout. The main floor features a living room that overlooks the ocean with windows throughout and sliding glass doors. The kitchen boasts 2 islands both with sinks, which is perfect for cooking as a family or entertaining. The Master bedroom even includes heated mirrors for defogging and backlit lighting.

Located ocean front on Springs Ave in Pawleys Island, guests can enjoy super sunrises from DolphinView's porches with swings, and incredible sunsets from its creek dock which has a hammock. The home features 7 bedrooms and 6.5 bathrooms. There are 2 oceanfront King Suites. Fully equipped with brand new kitchen renovations and added features such as a gas powered fire pit, crab pot, pot filler, wine cooler, 2 dishwashers, a coffee pot and keurig- the new and improved DolphinView will blow you away! Bedding accommodations will include 4 kings, 2 queens, and twin sized bunk beds.

Sunday to Sunday arrival during the summer months.

The most beautiful beach home

We have stayed in many houses on PI over the last 30 years, including the old version of Dolphin view. This renovated Dolphin View is now our favorite. Love the creek dock, all of the bedrooms and baths, and multiple porches. (The only thing it is missing is a hammock) This is also the first time renting from Tide Life - easy to work with, professional, and timely in their responses.

Of course the beach access is incredible! We were blessed with awesome weather the entire week! The kitchen is amazing with two islands, Sub Zero refrigerator and coolers for wine or your favorite beverage! I was in Le Creuset heaven! Awesome Wolf range! Beds were comfortable and the master bedroom had a wet room! Awesome place and we look forward to coming back next year!

Family beach house vacation, our first

The beach was wonderful and we loved the access to the waterway out back. We spent a lot of time kayaking, walking and boarding. The house was clean and comfortable, but fairly outdated. The house is in need of some major aesthetic updating, window replacement (several fogged windows) and kitchen upgrading. Nice big house perfect for gathering as a big group, yet everyone having a private space to hang out as well.

Christmas Memories

Unfortunately for the first few days it was the coldest weather of the year. Inside we played games and ate wonderful meals in a kitchen fit for a chef and house with every comfort you can have away from home. This recently remodeled home has top rated kitchen appliances, huge TV’s, amazing bathrooms, washer and dryer on both levels, and an elevator that accommodated our aging family members. The views of sunrise were magical, daily ocean polar plunges refreshing, and fishing in the creek relaxing. One of the best places we have stayed globally. Thank you to the owners for paying so much attention to detail in this beach home. Happy New Year!!

Suzanne was amazing, helping to locate a beautiful beach house that is dog friendly. 'Dolphin View' sits right on the water at Pawleys ... as well as creekside! The house is gorgeous, and we fell in love with it. We even called a professional photographer to take our engagement pictures there. We even happened to meet the owner, and he was a wonderful gentleman. If it wasn't already rented the week we plan to return in August, we would definitely rent it again. In future years, this will be our 'go to' vacation rental.I have already referred all of my family to Suzanne, knowing that they would receive the very best care.

Wonderful Stay at DolphinView!

We enjoyed being right on the beach, and the porch provided a wonderful place to admire the ocean view! Kitchen had all conveniences you might need. Wish there had been just a little more seating in the downstairs living area. Upstairs also had more living room space which was quite nice, but we found we wanted to be all together on the main floor. Everything was clean and beds were fine. Enjoyed fishing and kayaking in the creek out front. Close to grocery stores, restaurants, and shopping. Plenty of parking under the house. Had lots of room on the beach; not crowded at all!! Wonderful time!

Fantastic place

We booked this house as a group of 7 guys for the last 3 nights of a golfing trip. As I understand it, the house has changed hands over the last year, and you can see the work the new owner has started to put into the place. The outside looks incredible. The paint, new doors and windows, deck furniture, etc. all looked the part of high end beach house. The inside doesn't match the fittings of the outside, but that's part of updating a home. It was certainly comfortable, and our group didn't have any real issues. The showers are a bit small, but functional, the furnishings were dated but still comfortable, etc. So the outside is multi-million in its appearance, and the interior doesn't keep up, but is just fine. The view is priceless. It's a quiet beach, and can you really beat the Atlantic as your backyard? No. What a place! The management company was responsive and easy to work with, so no issues there. All in all, a wonderful place to stay. Not to mention the fact that Caledonia, True Blue, and the Heritage Club were all barely 10 mins away. It was a great trip.

The Tidelife folks are friendly and wonderful to work with. Linens were provided as expected - no problems there.Dolphinview...needs work. The diningroom floors are a water-damaged mess repaired with caulk and nails in some places (seriously, wear shoes in there!!), the doors are a mess (not a decent lock on any of them), the kitchen cabinets are literally falling apart, and one of the beds was leveled with a children's book (which in hindsight is actually pretty funny - nothing's perfect). Truly, I get that there was an ugly storm there last month (the still boarded up windows prove it), but this house is up for sale. It seems like the owners are putting the very least amount of money possible into maintenance, but beach houses basically need near constant maintenance - especially rentals. Most of the damage I noticed isn't a result of the storm (for instance the dining room floors had damage last year already, but now it's much worse). These also aren't issues that Tidelife or the owners would have handled during my stay (other than the book; we handled that ourselves HA!). On the other hand...amazing location, the heat worked, and the house was clean. I'd rent from Tidelife anytime - just not this house.

Amazing location but slightly concerning house

Overall, I do not recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: This house is the definition of adjusted expectations. This is our second year staying at Dolphinview (and we actually saw dolphins this year!!) with several close families and children. The location can not be beat which is why we returned, and may very well return next year even given the below concerns. Oceanfront with creek access allows for any activity desired, and thankfully due to that fact very little time is ever spent inside. The house itself if in poor condition from a maintenance perspective (furniture and beds are great) that has actually deteriorated since the previous stay, which is actually a bit of an accomplishment... There are legitimate safety concerns most notable are the complete lack of functioning external door locks as well as obvious damage to the underneath support framework. Mold is readily visible within the house and also the shadow of what seemed to be former smoke detectors are visible (I am not saying these are not replaced somewhere else because they likely were, this just came up in a post stay discussion with friends and given the current maintenance condition it seemed concerning). The house is currently for sale and unfortunately seems to be deteriorating toward “tear down” status, which is unfortunate. Overall though, the inside of the house is very comfortable and the furniture is in great condition and the house was very clean and well kept. Overall I would probably not be eager to recommend this house to a friend but may stay again ourselves if the situation dictates. Tidelife was amazing to work with and I recommend them 100%. I just feel this house is stuck in a black hole of being sold and delaying improvements. Tidelife likely can only work within the parameters of the home owner and they are likely stuck in a bit of a losing situation here. I would 100% rent from them again.

Spectacular home

This home is just perfect. It’s beautifully remodeled, huge, comfortable and right on the beach. Our only wish was that we could have used the elevator. We had elderly parents come to a 2-night family party and one had both Alzheimer’s and Parkinson’s. Getting up the stairs to the elevated house was especially difficult knowing there was an elevator that was not at our disposal. I do understand and suspect that if I was the owner, I may not make that luxury readily available to all guests. I would definitely stay in this home again and my siblings also noted they hope to do another family reunion and rent the same exact house. It’s truly spectacular in every way.
