Unique, quiet property with a blend of old and new. Had some family and friends stop during week so we always had room. Enjoyed hanging on deck outside.
This house has it all. It’s in a beautiful area, and the property is equipped with anything you could possibly need. We definitely want to rent this place again for future weekend getaways.
Nice house on a very secluded and quiet road. The location was great and close to so many great places - Tuthilltown distillery, Wildflower Farm, downtown New Paltz. We had a great weekend.
The property was super cute. The house was perfect for our group. Seth was an awesome host. Very responsive to all of our questions and requests. My friends loved the house.
Six of us plus the dog really enjoyed our stay at the nice older home with a spacious yard /deck and mature landscaping. House is at a very quiet location with easy access to hiking, orchards, restaurants and towns. It was perfect for a relaxing family get together. The boating was enjoyed by all. Main floor bedroom and bath was convenient for elderly family member. All bedrooms had comfortable beds. Three upstairs bedrooms all have sloped ceilings. We inadvertently bumped our heads a couple of times during the stay. Encountered some issues with the grill and toaster. Sectional sofa in living room can use a thorough clean. It smelled a bit sweaty. Communications with the host, Seth, was great. This home is on our list for future repeat stays in Hudson Valley.
Wonderful stay. The gardens are beautiful, and we had lovely evenings in the hot tub. Great host, welcoming and responsive. Would definitely stay again.
Clean, quiet and well appointed home on a very quiet street
Comfy beds, warming fireplace and everything you need ! Seth is quick to respond with any and all requests!!!
We recently stayed at the cottage with our adult children and young grandchildren. What a perfect spot/ plenty to explore and lots of spaces where we could be together. It is located on a beautiful property with well tended gardens; the deck areas allowed lots of room to relax and be together. The host is super responsive and helpful
We book often thru VRBO, and we both agreed this home was at the top of our list for local getaways! The owner has thought of many extras little things to make the rental ABOVE other options.
The hot tub and sauna were wonderful as was the heated bathroom flooring! Our dog loved the home too.
Thank you for offering such a great home to folks like us!
The cottage is absolutely gorgeous. You could not ask for a better location. So peaceful and cozy! The access to the river with the boats is a total highlight. Amazing paddle boat riding down a very relaxing river. Amazing wildlife sightings! And the hot tub was just what we needed after a day of relaxing recreation. Seth is also amazingly sweet and an absolute delight if you need anything or have any questions! 10 of 10 would recommend!!
The Stone House was a really nice place to stay for a few days! It was very clean and well maintained, which was perfect for crawling babies. All of the bedrooms were pretty spacious and the main living area was a great spot to hangout and relax. The house is in a great location too. Close to a lot of wineries, breweries and hiking.
We didn’t have any issues during our stay and Seth was very responsive while booking our trip. We had a great time and are so glad we got to stay here!
A family get together for a celebration of life. The house was perfect for our family. The bedrooms were comfortable and beautifully decorated and the kitchen had everything we needed for cooking. We thoroughly enjoyed being outside on the deck overlooking a river. The hot tub was definitely a bonus. The house is tucked away down a dirt road. There are neighboring houses and a few goats, but very quiet. Communication with Seth was easy. I would rent the house again.
I appreciated Seth's timely response when I had questions. The property was perfect for a peaceful Thanksgiving away from NYC. Yet, very convenient and short drive from NYC. The property is maintained well and equipped with everything you need.
Clean, comfortable older cottage. Great location near hiking. Seth was always accessible. Nice outdoor seating and clean well maintained hottub. Kitchen has everything needed. Beds comfortable. Steps to second floor a bit steep but this was not an issue for us.
Wonderful family mini vacation. The house and gardens are beautiful and very well maintained. The owner has put a lot of thought and work into maintaining the charm of the older stone cottage while integrating modern conveniences and luxuries, with an eye towards eco-friendly updates. Our adult children and grandchildren enjoyed the hot tub and the spa bathroom. They went out in canoes, although the river was a bit shallow so they could not cover much distance. We enjoyed a campfire with s'mores, as well as the games the owner has on the property. Even our dogs had the best time!!!
Everything you need is here to make a your stay a happily memorable event.
We had the privilege of staying March 1st - 5th. Wonderful property. Seth thought of everything. Easy access to town and wineries. This is a older beautiful home with many updates. Some doors don’t close well but locks have been installed. All appliances work but we only used the toaster oven, coffee pot and washer n dryer. Beds were soft and comfortable. Loved the heated toilet seat! Hot tub was used nightly after a day of touring and sightseeing. Saw deers every morning and loved watching the next door neighbors goats in there pen. Very quiet retreat to enjoy nature and relax. If we head back to Warwick soon we will stay again. Thanks Seth
VRBO Diamond! Guaranteed to exceed your expectations.
I take multiple group cycling trips each year where we stay in VRBOs. This is the best place we have stayed to date. It has premium appliances (ie sub-zero frig) and outstanding amenities (steam shower, sauna, hot tub, ...). The kitchen has everything you could need (gourmet spices like Himalayan Sea Salt). Whatever brings you to the area you can expect that this house will leave you with positive memories and become the backdrop of your vacation.
What a great house! We spend the weekend outside on the large deck cooking on the Blackstone and hanging in the hot tub. Inside we enjoyed the sauna and steam shower. Everything was spotless. The house is fully stocked with everything you could need. Plenty of towels and blankets. The canoe was really fun too. Many wineries and other fun stuff just a short drive away. It was great to get away from the city and experience the country for a few days.

About the host
Hosted by Seth Levy
I’ve returned to New Paltz after too many years away to enjoy the climbing, hiking, art, music and heritage of the region. This house inspires imagination and just the place I’ve always wanted: waterfront and stone, immersed in nature with its views and sounds and completely private.
What makes this property unique
The river is this property’s most unique feature. I’ve been kayaking and swimming every day since the weather has warmed.
