About this property

Thatched Frisian house from 1860, ideal family accommodation Pet-friendly

The thatched frieze house was built in 1860 and at the turn of the century was added to a barn with a long stable. In 1979 an equipment shed for agricultural machinery was added to the barn. Until 1990 the barn and long stable were still used for agriculture.
The thatched roof house Süderhöft is one of the few remaining typical Frisian houses from the mid-19th century. Its compact design, which also determines the low room heights, and the building materials derived from the landscape, such as thatched, clay and clay bricks, make this type of construction particularly resistant to the harsh climate of the North Sea in winter. The so-called. Frieze gable through which one enters the house and through whose haykee the hay could be passed to the hayloft. But even in the event of a fire, the frieze pediment prevented burning thatch from falling onto the entrance area and thus enables a safe route outside.

The house is furnished according to practical aspects.

Master bedroom:
The master bedroom is furnished with a double bed 1.60x2.00m with separate mattresses, a clothes / bookcase and two bedside tables. His window faces west. The floor is made of wooden planks

Nursery:
The children's room is furnished with two single beds, a paid bed for small children, a drawer table and a frieze wardrobe. Its window faces north-west and the floor is covered with terracotta tiles. There is a colored cotton carpet between the beds.

Living room:
In the living room there are 2 pull-out sofa beds, which can "only" be used as comfortable couches, e.g. B. in television. An oval wooden table, a typical small round frieze table, a wardrobe, a wicker armchair and a satellite TV complete the furnishings. The windows face south. The floor is made of wooden planks.

Living hall:
You enter the Frisian house via the small cozy hall. In it there is a frieze bench with a folding seat, an oak coffee table and 2 wicker chairs, which can be moved to the table if necessary, e.g. B. if you want to play there together. In the antique chest are the seat cushions for the garden furniture. The front door is glazed and faces south. The floor is tiled with terracotta tiles.

dining room:
The dining room is in front of the small kitchen. Around the beech wood table there is space for up to 6 people on 4 chairs and a bench. A high chair for the little ones is available in the dining room.
The old fireplace now houses the wood and coal boiler. The boiler may not be operated by guests!

The china cabinet can also be opened from the dining room via sliding doors. On
Radio is on the windowsill. The window faces north-west and gives a view of the bird feeder and the unobstructed landscape of Eiderstadt. The floor is made of terracotta tiles.

Kitchen:
The kitchen is simple but practical: stove, sink, washing machine, freezer, crockery cabinet and a beech wood worktop in front of the window, which faces north-west. The floor is made of terracotta tiles.

Bathroom:
The bathroom is equipped with a large Bette bath, a toilet and a large sink. The bathtub and sink have hot and cold water. The walls and floor are tiled. The window faces south.

Accessibility:
All rooms are accessible without barriers. H. there are no levels.

Heater:
All rooms, with the exception of the kitchen, are connected to the gas-powered central heating. The room heat is regulated by the respective radiator thermostats. The heating and warm water is generated by the Combi-Therme in the bathroom.

The main switch for the heating is located in the hallway on the right above the radiator. When the red light is on, the heater is ready for use. Even in summer, when the heating is switched off, the lamp must light up, because otherwise no hot water can be generated.

Laundry:
Bed linen and towels must be brought by guests. There is a washing machine in the kitchen for small laundry.
If you want to wash and dry laundry on a larger scale: There are 2 laundromats in St. Peter-Dorf, one in Badallee and one in Dorfstraße.

Beds:
The covers and pillows are also suitable for guests who have to deal with allergenic loads.

Smoking and using open fire:
Please understand that holiday guests who are non-smokers also want to enter the house. So I have to ask you not to smoke in the thatched house
Open fire around the thatched roof is prohibited by the building authorities. This also applies to grilling.
In St. Peter-Ording there is a ban all year round for burning fireworks!

Pets:
You are welcome to bring your favorite four-legged friend with you. Please make sure that it is not allowed in rooms where there are beds.

Many sheep graze on our fennel (meadow behind the house). They ensure that the grass doesn't get too high. Please keep your dog on a leash when you leave the property, so that he does not take too much pleasure in the sheep!
In the foreland there is also a requirement for linen - there is a national park area.
In order to be able to walk undisturbed in the garden and around the house, please immediately dispose of the legacies of your four-legged friends.

Garden:
The large garden with its fruit trees can be used for lying and playing. It is divided with a pasture fence opposite the long stable. Please make sure that the large garden is not completely fenced and that your dog may be able to escape through the willow hedges or ditches. The same applies to small children. Part of the garden in front of the house is completely fenced.

Garden furniture:
A large garden table with a bench, 2 armrest chairs and two folding chairs is available for eating outdoors in fine weather.

Your mail:
Please send your mail by forwarding order to: c / o Süderhöfter Weg 9 D-25826 St. Peter-Ording. The mailbox is at the rear (gate) Eiderweg.

Rubbish:
There is strict waste separation in St. Peter-Ording. If you ignore this, the garbage men will leave the bin smooth! Therefore please separate your garbage into household waste, paper and plastic. Throw the kitchen waste on the compost.

The garbage cans are behind the fenced part of the garden on the left, the compost heap at the end of the large garden on the right. This is where the lawn mower man cuts his lawn.
And this: please put the respective garbage can on the street Eiderweg in the evening before emptying. A plan with the emptying days hangs over the heating in the hall. Thanks a lot for this!
