Great location, nice house. Grandparents, daughters and grandkids had a fun time in Savannah. We enjoyed the house with comfy beds, nice linens supplied and even had great beach towels for our day at the beach. Grilled burgers on the grill in large backyard and Grandpa made breakfast every day in our well stocked kitchen. We had a great time!
Very cute house. Had everything we needed. Convenient location for SCAD graduation photos at Forsyth park and not far from Convention Center. Enjoyed our stay!
We had a great time pretending to be Savannah residents while staying at this property. It’s close to everything! Convenient to stores and a scenic short drive to the downtown area. The house was the perfect size for our family of 4 and the kitchen made eating at home fun and easy. Outdoor area was great for kids.
The house was roomy and the beds were comfortable. This is an older home, so don’t expect luxury bathrooms. The location is close to almost everything. The kitchen was well equipped. We enjoyed our stay.
I had family at the hospital in Savannah. It was so nice to have a home away from home to be at during their stay. Cozy and lots of character. Neighborhood cute too. Owner easy to communicate with as well.
Larger than expected. The ac worked well, but we felt a ceiling fan would be great in the family room. It does have the musty smell that comes with older homes. Location is good. It was bigger than expected.
Historic charm with all the modern comforts of home
Beautifully kept and preserved 3/2 home in the historic district of Savannah. This home boasts so much charm and character through the preservation of original craftsmanship over the decades, it feels like home without sacrificing modern luxuries such as WiFi, propane grills/stovetop, cold A/C, and kitchen/utility appliances. I’d stay here again! Owners were easy to reach to introduce myself and respond in a timely manner.
This house was perfect for our family and conveniently located to downtown and the islands. This is not a new luxurious house but it is comfortable and charming. I would rather stay somewhere that I feel at home! The owner communication was fast and responsive. We loved the backyard space and grill. Perfect house to be centrally located to Savannah attractions and stay in a historic house with character.
Cute house. Great location. The master bedroom should have a king size bed. Owner should consider having an exterminator come out. We did see a few roaches in the kitchen. Overall, it was a great place to stay. I will recommend this house to others.
My family of 5 had a great stay at 'Paula Deen House'. This home is a home away from home. Alot of love and care have been put into this home. It's as advertised and all the amenities was supplied. We had to provide our toothbrush and toothpaste but everything else was provided. Check in and out was easy and Mr Ed was available for assistance. It was great to stay at the home where Paula Deen started her business. I would recommend this home to family and friends if they're in Savannah GA visiting.
The home was nicely appointed. However there was a pervasive musty smell throughout. The dryer is old & ruined a new shirt by jamming it between the drum & frame. Put a hole in the shirt.
There was plenty of room for us & anything you might need was there! The accommodations were spacious & nicely decorated.
Wonderful spacious, roomy house in a very convenient location!
The only problem we had was working the TVs with all the streaming options. We don't have that in our own home so it was totally foreign to us. Wish there had been more information on how to navigate around the channels & options!

House was cute., but the dishwasher didn't work, took forever to get hot water.when we got there the grass needed cut. Limbs down in back yard. Light in master bedroom is too low and it needed a fan. Third bedroom needed a t.v. other than that we had a good time. Dan Rhodes
House was just what we needed; close to our son’s house (the groom), close to everything we needed, roomy, great neighborhood, and of course, wonderfully special because we are Paula Deen fans, which was a great treat especially for my mother-in-law!
There were a few light bulbs that need replacing and the front door was a little aggravating and hard to get into, but once you got the hang of it, it was ok. I would either fix the door or warn the guests to not think you have the wrong entrance info - to keep trying.
Thank you for sharing this home with us!
It’s been a while since Paula Dean cooked here, so the kitchen could use some loving. The kitchen had to be cleaned, including wiping out the frig, before I could cook. I had no idea how to use the dishwasher, so we hand-washed everything. Never heard of rolling a dishwasher over to the sink to hookup to water & power before! Pots & pans were oily, dirty like someone used them and put them back in the cabinet. The good news is that after cleaning, we enjoyed the stay and were very comfortable. Electrical was a little sketchy too, but it’s an old house. Just needs some updates. The neighborhood is great and we enjoyed walking.
Loved our family visit! It was perfect for our family and grandparents.
Roomy family environment with cozy seating for (6) family members in the living room. Dining is part of the living area so you can eat while others lounge and watch TV.
One (Queen) bedroom is off the living room with private bath and access to the kitchen.
The other (2) bedrooms are on the opposite side of the house with shared (guest) full-bath. One is a very spacious King size bedroom and the other a Queen. Both with dressers and desk with chair.
Great kitchen with Keurig coffee pot and regular coffee pot. All coffee pods and filters with sugar and honey were there when we arrived (sure it’s from guests so bring or purchase your own from the Krogers, Whole Foods or Market nearby).
Kitchen has ice maker which came in handy for our cooler.
There were extra comforters, pillows and blankets for use.
Parking alongside the house with lots of shade for parking in front of home.
Only (15) mins from River street if you plan on taking the ferry.
This is a very QUIET neighborhood and we loved it!

Why they chose this property
My daughter graduated from Savannah College of Art and Design with a masters in Architecture. She was the inspiration for the purchase of this house and lived here while attending college.
What makes this property unique
Paula Deen lived here during the mid 1990's and started here business as the bag lady. Working in her kitchen and sending Bobby and Jamie out on their bikes to serve bag lunches to the local businesses in downtown Savannah.
