About Chevy Nash
I am a Premier 5 star host with another unit I have on VRBO/Home Away property (#4947079). We have 5 star reviews and a proven track record for making your stay a great experience. Fee free to visit the other property if you need a bigger space or more room on the same property. My daughter and I moved to Portland in 2008 to enjoy the Northwest and the cool vibe of Portland. I served in the Air Force right out of high school which is when I left my hometown of Quincy, IL. After serving, I moved to Nashville, TN and finished college at MTSU with a Recording Industry degree. I've spent the last 25 years in the music industry as an Artist Manager living in both Nashville and Los Angeles before Portland. After moving to here I also started running a Weatherization company that focuses on making low income families homes more energy efficient thus more affordable. Music and Mother Earth are my passions. I'm a single mom, a veteran, and a lesbian.

Why Chevy Nash chose Hazelwood
When my daughter was eight years old we went to a shipping container storage yard and I took photos of her in front of a tall stack of shipping containers. I told her that one day we would make a home out of one of those. I'm thrilled to have added one to our backyard to invite guests to stay. The property itself is convenient to everything and close to the Max line and Interstates. I also love this 50's ranch home neighborhood called Lorene Park. When I found this secluded mid century neighborhood I knew I found a place for me! I've spent the last six year renovating the main home and just finished renovating the apartment in the basement in 2018 and starting fixing up the backyard this summer (2019). AND you can't beat the ease of getting anywhere with a car, bike or public transportation from this location. We are 3 blocks from the Gateway/99th St, Max & Bus station, markets (Fred Meyer, Winco, International & Vegan), restaurants, shopping, coffee shops and more. The Gateway area is where Interstate 84 & 205 merge so It's very easy to jump on the interstate and get where ever you need to go. We are only 15 minutes from the airport by car and only a few stops away on the Max. Washington State is just up Interstate 205 10 minutes. Downtown Portland is a 15 minute drive and 25 minutes on the Max.
What makes this Studio unique
It's a Tiny House! It's reclaimed wood pulled from the Columbia River and is highlighted throughout the studio. Reusing a shipping container as a rental studio is a dream of mine.
