About this property

Private room, private entrance in a redwood grove setting

The house is located in a beautiful neighborhood of Burlingame about 18 miles/29 kilometers south of San Francisco.

We are located a short distance from the Broadway shopping and restaurant area, and are a few minutes to the Millbrae train station and to the San Francisco airport.

Minimum 3 night stay. $120 per night
20% discount for 7 - 27 days
50% discount for 28 or more days
Please purchase the damage insurance protection, $59.
There are no other fees.

Private in room bathroom with new shower.

Queen size bed, love seat couch, desk and chair.
A microwave and refrigerator are available in the adjacent room.

Coffee, tea, and a light breakfast are served upstairs Monday through Saturday.

The backyard is a patio and large redwood trees making a very restful setting.

Park your car on the street directly in front of our house, or take taxi/Lyft/Uber.

The Kohl Mansion (Mercy Retreat Center) is about 2/3 of a mile away (1 km) and is a lovely, mostly level walk from our house.

We had the most wonderful stay imaginable! James and Candace were kind, extremely helpful and very accommodating. The accommodation was full of thoughtful touches that made our stay really pleasant. Peaceful Stay

We had a wonderful stay at this property. The bed was very comfortable, and the space was perfect for my boyfriend and me. We especially enjoyed the peaceful patio area—perfect for relaxing, taking in the scenery, and listening to the sounds of nature. Comfortable, cozy stay

From start to finish our hosts communicated well, were so hospitable and welcoming and responded to our requests efficiently. We had every convenience with wonderful breakfasts provided as well. The location was very convenient from the SFAirport, and the grounds had beautiful redwoods. If ever we return to the area, we will hope to stay here.

Cozy redwood oasis

We had a wonderful stay at this cozy room in Burlingame. James was a wonderful host greeting us upon arrival and showing us around. I especially enjoyed having tea on the back patio in the redwood grove and fresh tangerines directly off the tree. The place is in a great centralized location - close to the airport, a very nice shopping and restaurant district, the coast, and the city. I highly recommend!

Wonderful stay during Christmas Week!

This was my fifth stay here in 14 months and I am very comfortable here. It has become my home away from home. It has all I need: a quiet, private retreat for overnight while visiting my family during the days. I especially like my breakfasts each morning. James and Candace are very gracious and make me feel welcome. I hope to stay here many times in the future while visiting my family.

A great place near SFO

We can only say good things about this accomodation. Our hosts were simply wonderful, offering great breakfasts as well as many tips on things to do and see in the San Francisco area and advice on services in the Burlingame area. The room was perfect for our needs, clean, well-outfitted, and enabled us to come and go at our pleasure without inconveniencing our hosts.

Extremely nice and hospitable. James and Candace went above and beyond when it came to accommodating my needs. Place was in a very nice and peaceful area with convenient resources nearby. Close to the airport as well. Room was a simple bedroom and bathroom, but provided everything necessary for a very comfortable stay. I highly recommend considering this place if you need a place to stay by yourself or with a partner.
