A truly unique and relaxing hideaway for couples, families and small groups.
Having lived away interstate and abroad for many years I have recently returned home to Adelaide. While this is my first HomeAway listing as a host, I was raised in a family running hospitality businesses so I understand the importance of personalised customer service and I hope to make your stay a memorable one. I am also a committee member of the local tourism association so I am happy to share any advice about our beautiful area, if you need it. My favourite travel destinations would be Argentina, Noosa, New York and anywhere in France.

Great place I will recommend to anyone
We had a lovely stay highly recommended.
Thank you Jordan, really appreciate the feedback. You are welcome back anytime.
Gracious living in the hills
We loved the beautiful presentation of this spacious house - the beautiful grounds, the birds, the local wines, climbing up the carpeted stairs lit by an art deco chandelier to our comfortable bedroom suite. Highly recommended experience with friendly accommodating host Travis.
Thank you Ione, we really appreciate wonderful feedback like this. Thank you for being so respectful of the property, you are welcome back anytime.
A Very Unique Stay
We stayed for four nights. It was a lovely place but not at all what we expected. It was more like a mini hotel or somewhere one would hold a small event rather than a cottage/house to relax in. A comfy lounge suite to snuggle on or a relaxing outdoor setting to unwind in would’ve made all the difference. The area the property is located in was lovely but the views from the house not so much. There is a horse riding school right next door and there are people coming and going frequently throughout the day so we didn’t feel like we had the total privacy and seclusion we desired. All in all we had a lovely stay; it was clean, the bed was big and comfortable, the shower pressure was strong, and the grass outside was lush and perfect for picnics.
Thank you James for choosing to spend 4 lovely nights at our property and great to hear you enjoyed our big comfy bed, the cleanliness of our property, the water pressure, our lawn density and beautiful gardens. However, it is unfortunate to hear that our property was not what you expected in some other areas!
We all have different expectations however I wouldn’t say we are a mini hotel and we are definitely not a cottage and we do not suggest this. Our property description is quite clear and based on our previous guest reviews people find the home is set in a very relaxing environment both inside and out. We do have 2 comfy lounge suits inside the home keeping with in our Federation theme (as shown in our images) and we have a lovely setting on the outdoor veranda and a second seating area under our Gazebo set amongst our lovely gardens to sit back and unwind on.
The unspoilt views surrounding the building are just one of the highlights our guests enjoy most and I find it surprising and that you didn’t find the views of peacefulness and tranquillity to your liking, again the pictures on our page are very clear.
Yes, we do mention Templewood Horse Riding Centre in our description as it's next door and we encourage our guests to take up the opportunity to take a trail ride. The centre administration is a lot further up the driveway and some cars do enter this way but this should not have affected your privacy in anyway. They do not come on the grounds or enter the building either.
Thank you for visiting sorry we didn't meet your expectations in some areas.
If you get the chance, stay here!
The most amazing setting, great place to stay. Couldn’t believe how lucky I was to find Tally ho and be able to stay.
Really glad to hear you enjoyed your stay so much Graeme, it was our pleasure. Thank you for leaving the venue so clean and tidy.
Thank you very much for the 5 star review Stewart, wishing you both a very happy anniversary!
Beautiful attention to detail with artwork and furnishings. Felt so homely and relaxing. Just disappointed that we only booked one night. Next time it will be 2 so we can advantage of the down time. Thanks Travis for wonderful mummy daughter getaway.
My pleasure Kellie, glad you both enjoyed your stay, you are always welcome back for a two night stay! :)
