Experience paradise at Green Cottage, a charming 2-bedroom oceanfront retreat in Islamorada!

Green Cottage - The Green Cottage is located in Turtle Cove, Islamorada's quaint enclave of five cottages all with their own personality and characteristics. All five cottages share the property's amenities: pool, boat basin, tropical sprawling grounds, ping pong table, kayaks, paddle boards and more. This peaceful cottage is nestled in lush landscaping and offers pool and ocean views from the open living and dining room. The 2/1 layout includes a master bedroom furnished with a queen bed and a guest room with bunk beds in a full/twin configuration. The Green Cottage can be rented separately or in combination with any of the four other homes.

If booking more than a year in advance current prices may not reflect the annual cost of living increase.
Many of our guests' re-book the same property on an annual basis. No reservation is confirmed until you speak with us.
Please note: before proceeding with your booking, kindly review the following information. This property is managed by a local Islamorada rental company, Freewheeler Vacations. Payments for your vacation rental will be made thru Freewheeler Vacations. You will also see a charge from VRBO which covers their booking service fee which is already included in the total cost. We prefer payments via personal check or eCheck. However, if you opt to pay by credit card, a 3% convenience fee will be applied to your rental. You will receive the Freewheeler Vacations Vacation Rental Agreement via email, which must be signed before your arrival. All future correspondence will be made through Freewheeler Vacations.

Great property for our family vacay

We found the cottage perfect for our stay. The pool was a straightshot off the patio and overlooked the ocean, our entire family found it perfect. For what it's worth the 7 and 9 yr old said it was even better than the pics looked online. Will be back!

PARADISE!!!!

Such a wonderful property it’s your own private resort. Views of the ocean, awesome pool and cottage was beautifully decorated. My husband enjoyed fishing and we used the paddleboard and kayaks. Close to restaurants and things to do. Will definitely recommend.

Paradise

This was exactly what we were looking for for our family vacation this year. From the cottage itself to the amazing view! When we weren’t exploring the Keys, we were happy to spend the rest of our time swimming, kayaking, paddle boarding or just sitting by the ocean. There was also fast response from Sue if we had any questions. We already recommended it to friends and family! A great time was had by all!

Wonderful estate/property

We thoroughly enjoyed our 8 nights at this lovely property. All the amenities like paddle boards, snorkel gear, beach towels, outdoor showers, etc. were an added bonus. Even tho there are 4 cottages on the property only 1 of the other cottages was booked so we felt like we had a “resort” to ourselves! However, the attention to detail was not 5 stars. We addressed things with Sue and she quickly resolved the issues but while on vacation these are things you don’t want to fuss with. For example the kitchen is lacking, no kitchen scissors, the garbage bags were so cheap and unhelpful, the pots/pans are of low quality and I wld expect a better supply of paper products. We experienced an invasion of carpenter ants in 1 of the 2 bedrooms and pest control was sent out to resolve the issue. We understand this was probably a unique situation but I would have appreciated that I didn’t have to ask for that bedroom to be deep cleaned. Housekeeping did clean it but we didn’t feel comfortable using that room for the 1st 4 days of our stay and were not offered any apology or compensation for that inconvenience. Also, our driveway was blocked in a few times from the landscaping company vehicles. They were quick to move the trucks but again just not something you want to deal with. This is also probably a unique situation and we understand it’s a production to mange a property of this size. It is obvious the property owner is making a heavy investment in the landscaping which is going to make the property even more spectacular.

Paradise in Islamorada

It was the most relaxing, beautiful getaway in an idyllic setting. Everything was perfect and Sue was a joy to work with...she was available for any questions and made us feel so welcome! We will be back!

We fell in love with this house and property

We decided last minute to visit the Keys. Luckily for us this house was available. Contact with Sue was easy and very professional. 2 bedroom updated house. Linens and towels included. Smaller washer and dryer in the house. Air conditioner units in each room and the living area. Cooking pans, dishes, glasses toaster oven, coffee maker (not keurig), blender and silverware in this kitchen. We left some cups we purchased for future use along with a drink container with the lid. Items we needed for our family was paper plates, toilet paper, garbage bags, ziploc bags, salt pepper and ice. Outside this house is a beautiful pool. In August was not as refreshing during the day. Walk out to the palm trees and the tip of the property. We went out there during the day as the ocean breeze is constant. We fell asleep each evening star gazing and watching shooting stars ! YOU MUST DO THIS!! This property has 3 houses. Great for a few families. In the main house there is an entire room with fishing equipment, padleboards, coolers, canoes, bikes brach games, noodles and snorkeling equipment. There is a boat lift however it is a tight area to bring your boat in. There is a ramp to take the canoes into the ocean. There are stairs to the ocean but it is not truly safe to go in due to the rocks and plenty of seaweed. We found many restaurants for sunset views. It is wise to call ahead. 88 Was one of our favorite views. During our week maaks needed to be worn in public. 1 1/2 hours from the Miami airport to the house during normal days. On Saturdays it will take 2 hrs. We also visited Key West which was a beautiful 2 hr drive. We will rent this house every year. It was that great for us.
