Villa Baan Hansa is the ideal tropical retreat for those wanting to get away from it all while at the same time enjoying all of the 5 star hotel facilities and services at your doorstep.
The imaginative layout of the property makes it the perfect haven for multiple families or large groups of friends. From check-in at the stunning hotel lobby, the resort buggy will deliver you conveniently to the door of your own private retreat, hidden among established, tropical gardens full of beautifully fragrant frangipani trees.
The entrance to the villa opens into an airy, open plan living, dining and kitchen area. The white walls and pitched ceiling skylight provide a great sense of space. The hard wooden floors beautifully contrast with the inviting lounge furniture and the chic white, fully equipped, western style kitchen.
The lounge offers two separate, seating areas, with hessian rugs and central coffee tables, the larger of which boasts flat panel TV with DVD player and satellite TV.
The dining area is located between the seating area and the kitchen and comprises of an elegant black lacquered table and six stylish white chairs.
The breakfast bar houses a cooking hob and a modern fresh coffee and cappuccino maker (fresh coffee provided). The built in microwave and electric oven can be found amid a large wall of units that offer ample storage space for groceries, crockery and cooking utensils.
Large wooden folding accordion-style patio doors open up off the lounges onto a spacious wooden veranda that offers spectacular views of the Five Islands. Enjoying the amazing views and ocean breeze while sipping coffee or cocktails on your private balcony is a favorite activity here, and with the in-villa private dining and chef services available upon request, many guests often stay close to home.
The terrace has a large and comfortable sofa seating area, a teak dining table that can accommodate up to six diners and two teak reclining sun loungers as well as tropical plants in stylish local urns. A further narrow veranda to the right leads back up to the kitchen at the rear and a outdoor gas barbecue grill.
There are two floors below the main floor that has two bedrooms each, all with en-suite bathrooms (a fifth bedroom remains tucked away on the main floor allowing for a convenient no-stairs option for those with Helpers or guest with special needs.
The middle floor can be accessed by internal stairs allowing for easy access, while the bottom floor is accessed only by outer stairs allowing for total privacy for a 2nd family. Both 2nd floor bedrooms have large windows and more of those stunning views. The room to the right is an airy double bedroom with a comfortable kind sized bed, a Juliet balcony over the ocean, a flat screen TV with DVD and satellite linkup, ample storage space and en-suite bathroom with his and hers sinks, black granite finish, a rain shower and WC. The second bedroom on this level has comfortable twin beds, ample storage space and a black granite en-suite bathroom with a single sink and a bath tub.
The lower level bedrooms have ocean views, ample storage space, and en-suite bathrooms, one equipped with a bath tub and one with shower. The rooms also have an interconnecting door that makes them ideal for a family, and they offer plenty of privacy from the sleeping and living quarters above.
Back up on the top level a small corridor from the front porch, lead past another storage room and the fifth bedroom that has a cozy ambiance, twin beds, hillside views and flat screen TV with DVD and satellite linkup as well as ample storage space making for a stairs-free bedroom option. Guests at Villa Baan Hansa are welcome to enjoy all the facilities that the 5 star InterContinental Hotel has to offer, such as the a world class stunning Thai SPA retreat, an ocean view health and fitness centre and 7 swimming pools. Beach activities include lounging, beach bar, sailing, sea kayaking, biking, and more. Most activities and toys require no charge at all with the exception of the Spa and restaurants. Fortunately, all charges can be made to the villa as if you were staying at the hotel itself, and are payable by the guest upon check-out. Special note to parents: There is also a Kids Club offering daily activities for children including arts & crafts, outdoor playground, indoor rainy day activities, and babysitting services. There is no charge to use facility although some arts and crafts activities require a small charge.
