LOCATED IN THE TOWN OF KIRKFIELD BETWEEN LAKE SIMCOE AND BALSAM LAKE, 25 MINUTES TO CASINO RAMA, ONE HOUR FORTY FIVE MINUTES FROM TORONTO

A 100% refund is provided for travellers cancelling at least 14 days before check-in. A 50% refund is provided for travellers cancelling from 7 to 13 days before check-in. Kirkfield Cottage

Great Getaway!

We were 3 friends who spent 2 nights at this location. We had a most relaxing and peaceful time. The location is not too far from the GTA and overlooks a beautiful lake.The unit was extremely well-equipped and comfortable. Joan met us when we arrived and took us through everything in the apartment, so we were well informed. The hosts were wonderful. Will definitely recommend to our friends.

Very nice!

Very clean, lovely place! View was beautiful. Property was very nice! Owners very kind and welcoming. Only downfall is not being able to swim in the weedy waters. I blame mother nature for that. Thank you for making our stay comfortable!

A great place to relax and unwind

The whole experience was great, from start to finish. Upon arrival we recieved a tour of the property and shown everything that was available to us. From cookware to plates and cutlery, to beer mugs and wine glasses. The area is spacious, and would easily suit up to 3 couples or a large family. The view is gorgeous out the back and the fire pit is spectacular. The owners are also very nice people, and always made themselves available if we had questions about anything. A truly wonderful experience overall!

Clean and comfortable

The unit was comfortable and very clean. Hosts were friendly and attentive. Towels were listed as provided but we were told to bring them. Smart TV was too old to connect to my Netflix account (important with teens!). No hot water at kitchen sink meant boiling water to wash dishes (minor inconvenience). The property is very well kept, and the water is clean but weedy, so not good for swimming. We enjoyed the peddle boat. It would be a good lake for canoeing etc. though we didn’t make use of the pay-per-use boats or amenities other than the barbecue.

Hi Joel Thank you so much for your review, towels requirement will be change on the listing (This was done due to the covid pandemic we are still going through as we continue to do our part in reducing/stopping the spread) Regarding the hot water in the kitchen area, it was pointed out that the water was only getting to 75-80 degrees (fh) due to a water heating malfunction. For which we do apologize Regarding the Netflix issue, I'm not sure how the attempt to connect was made, as this was done by other guests with success by using the TV remote smart button (Netflix app is at the very top) It was a great pleasure having you and yours to share our facility. exceeded our expectations!!

cottage was very clean and comfortable!! 🏡 one of the owners walked us through the whole place before we checked in which is very nice. we really enjoyed the free rent of paddle boat and you can also rent out their canoes. every supplies that you need are in there, you don’t even have to bring your own! and our favourite was the ice machine on the fridge. we also enjoyed the picnic table by the dock🧺 the owners live on the upper level of the cottage but they still can ensure you privacy, and they are available anytime in case you need anything. one of my friend forgot her airpods and the owners went out their way just so we can get it back. only thing was the netflix on TV was not working but fortunately it has amazon prime for substitute, but it was not really big deal for us because it made us spend more time outside and enjoy the scenery. the location was not too far and there was a convenience store 15minutes away. we’re hoping to come back to this place and will for sure recommend it to other people🏡❤️

Great Place To Relax

Overall, 5-star stay. Clean, spacious and relaxing. Nice backyard to hangout with friends or enjoy the peace from the dock. BBQ works great, kitchen is well stocked with the necessary dishes and the bedrooms are spacious and comfortable. Owners communicated well and was always available. They provided the space but made it clear that they are only a phone call away. We will definitely return!

Lovely Quiet Getaway

Mohan and Joan were amazing hosts and always very quick to respond to any of our inquiries. We really enjoyed our stay, the cottage was very nice, clean and spacious and we truly felt at home the minute we arrived. It is a very quiet area so it was very relaxing. The only downside was the water (which obviously is not the host's fault). Having brought our young daughter and all being avid anglers, we were looking forward to swimming and fishing. However, the water is very weedy (as are a lot of Kawartha Lakes). This made it challenging for swimming and maneuvering our boat through the water. Fenelon Falls is less than half an hour away so we were able to enjoy the beach and playground there (Garnet Graham Beach Park). It is a lovely little town, definitely worth the visit. Overall, this is a great place to rent and not too far away. We would definitely recommend this cottage!

My family very much enjoyed our 2-week stay. Mohan and Joan, our hosts, went above and beyond in ensuring our comfort and happiness. The property itself is exactly as advertised. It's very clean and well-cared for, and has all mod cons including fast wifi and a wide-screen tv for rainy days.

Perfect place for a getaway

Mohan and Joan (host) were very caring. They are very prompt in response and any time pickup the phone call. We had a wonderful stay. Lots of fishing. Quiet neighbourhood. I would recommend this cottage to our friends and i wouldnt hesitate to come again soon.

Relaxing and Wonderful Weekend

Mohan and Joan were amazing and welcoming hosts , they showed us around and even had drink with us upon our request 😀 Their cottage has everything you needed for a weekend getaway . The property was clean and beautiful at night due to wood burning fire pit and colorful lights on trees. You can rent boats at the property. Kirkfield lift lock is very close by. Overall it was an excellent stay! Would definitely return again!

Had the pleasure of staying at Mohan and Joan’s cottage. They were very welcoming and helpful. Everything we needed was there. Kids enjoyed the fishing and the paddle boat!
