Ask a questionAbout jacky sutherland
I fell in love with this villa and its amazing views over the Artuby valley some 10 years ago and have enjoyed holidays with my family here ever since. However frazzled we arrive, after a few days waking up with the sun shining through the bedroom window and a look at the ever changing views and sky, we always feel peaceful. Contact me directly in the UK on(0044)07731396285for more information. Last year we completely refurbished the house with new bathrooms, bedrooms, living room and TV so, for us, it is just how we would want it, and all our guests so far have enjoyed its style and comfort. We love walking, river paddling/walking and picnics. This year we did the 15km Marcel route along the Gorges du Verdon - amazing! Swimming at Lac st Croix is our children's favourite and my husband loves the food at Hotel les Bains in the village of Comps.
Why jacky sutherland chose Comps-sur-Artuby
This House offers some of the most spectacular views both during the day and at night. The sun rises and sets over the mountains and lights pours in through the bedroom windows as the view looks out onto the valley. At night on the terrace the sun sets in a dip in the mountains and the moon hangs in the sky with a full galaxy of stars. It is small wonder artists are inspired by the light and writers such as Marcel Pagnol were inspired by the countryside and nature.
What makes this house unique
This is a unique house set in the National Park of the Gorges du Verdon. There are few places left on the earth where you will find such peace, views and tranquility with a lovely village only 5 minutes away for your daily bread. The Knights Templar chapels guard the mountains and reflect on the faith of humanity, its transience and the power of nature. It brings out the creative in everyone! The house is available to book from June to October on a weekly basis from Saturday to Saturday. Minimum stay of 7 nights.
