Coast/Beach. Zoo & Waterpark. Golf
The golden sandy beach is located within walking distance, or by the kids 'noddy' train, and it is very safe for swimming making it ideal for all the family. In Calete you will find two good par 70 golf courses with very good twilight rates for occasional holiday golf. There is a set of clubs in the house for your use included in rate. The famous endless beaches of Sotavento and Jandia are 40 mins drive away but well worth a visit. Here you will also find Oasis Park - Zoo, Aquarium, Botanical gardens. To the north, 40 mins will bring you to the white sand dunes and beaches near Corralejo. Here you will find the Baku waterpark.
The house is only 10 euros in a taxi from the airport (10 min drive).
The house is adjacent to the Castillo beach club. There is a short walk - say 10 to 15 mins - to the Bahia Sol complex pool, which you have a key for. There is a short walk to the Castillo Ma pool complex, where you also have a key. There is a great Pizza parlour with local spanish style wine bar only about 300 metres away - literally at the end of the road - it has great ocean views and is warm and friendly. The house is a further 5 minute walk to the Montecastillo centre (where you will find restaurants and bars), and then only a further 5 minute approximate walk to the heart of town and the main street. This house is NOT at the peak of Chipmunk Hill. A good location in Calete de Fust Town.
The house is within easy reach distance of the beach and the bars and shops. It is only a three euros taxi ride to the Atlantico Centre where you will find a large cheap supermarket (Spar) and a range of great shops, 10-pin bowling, and a multi screen English Cinema. The large out of town value supermarket of Mercadona is also within low-cost reach by taxi.
Further, Calete de Fuste is in the centre of the island and is perfectly located for exploring the rest of the island. For example, you can reach the Baku water park in the north at Corralejo in about 35 minutes. For example, you can reach the La Lajita Zoo in the south of the island at Cost Calm in about 35 minutes.

Why Dr Iain Cameron chose Castillo Caleta de Fuste
I had travelled a lot in the Canaries. Done many golf holidays in Tenerife and guys holidays in Gran Canaria and family holidays in Lanzarote. I reluctantly booked a package holiday to Fuerteventura one year thinking it this was the poor man's Canary Island. How wrong could I have been. It was simply stunning. I had never seem beaches in Europe this good. The low rise building were colourful and looked Andalusian in design (none of that boring white stuff with blue windows or tall tower blocks). The property prices seemed to be about 25% cheaper than the other Canary islands and yet the island was 125% more beautiful. Fuerteventura to me means that once you visit it, you will never go back to Lanzarote or Gran Canaria etc.
What makes this house unique
Location. Location. Location and Value for Money. This property is in a great location close to everything you need. Car hire is not essential. That is, we are not stuck way out of town pretending to be in the town. The property is fantastic value for money having a great USP of amazing views and lots of inside and outside space. This is coupled with great Wifi and real proper British TV (SKY SPORTS, BT SPORTS, SKY MOVIES, BBC, ITV etc). This coupled with modern furnishings, make this a great holiday choice. The many reviews prove this to be the case going back over a long number of years. In truth, pound for pound for pound, there is no better value. It blows away most properties. It's downside is that there is not a communal pool on site - sorry. Although, I have negotiated access to two complexes in town. In truth, this is largely irrelevant in winter anyways as communal pools are too cold to go in to (anywhere) and is easily overcome in summer, as described. You are better choosing the hot tub option for that wee bit of luxury. The wifi is fast and strong and will be ideal if you need to catch up on work or stream video. The real BBC / ITV etc TV helps parents - it is genuine - watch out for the trick of properties quoting English TV only for you to find out that is English but is actually no English channels that you have ever heard of. I have loads of reviews and a 14 year track record, as evidenced by c520 - one of the original Owners Direct numbers.
