About this property
Period village House with heated pool all year and Enclosed Mediterranean Garden
Maison de la Botte has been beautifully decorated throughout by its interior designer owner and is an extremely spacious house in the heart of Olonzac. With a huge living area, kitchen and separate drawing room, the house is designed to easily accommodate 6 - 8 adults in comfort with 4 large bedrooms and 3 luxury bathrooms. Single beds can be provided. The kitchen is 'made to cook' with a large Lacanche cooker and extensive, top of the range cooking equipment. The house is also equipped with satellite TV on the ground floor and a large Plasma TV for gaming in the games room.. Fast internet connection is available for your holiday. In the centre of the property there is a large, Mediterranean, secluded garden with a 12 meter indoor swimming pool (which is available all year round - heating available on request) and, as the entire property is bordered by its own outbuildings, completely private and very secure for children. Sports Hall with table tennis, large plasma TV with Xbox 360 and a snooker table. .This classically elegant 19th century period property will seduce you with its secluded walled garden and indoor swimming pool. Located in the wine producing village of Olonzac in the heart of the Languedoc, you'll find a great selection of cafes, restaurants and shops nearby.
Lac de Jouarres lake is only 2km - it's worth a visit for the scenery alone, but you'll also find opportunities for boating, fishing and wind surfing on its shores. The ground floor has a large living and dining room with a fireplace (which sadly is not in use) and is filled with period furniture and an open-plan, fully-equipped kitchen - ideal for enthusiastic chefs who want to wow fellow guests with their culinary gifts (and why not use a few local ingredients too?)
French doors lead from the kitchen to the lovely garden, and a separate drawing room contains two very large, comfortable sofas, two Louis square back chairs and a fireplace. This “maison de maitre” is tastefully restored and decorated and furnished to a very high standard, with many original features remaining and elegant wood paneling.
One minute's walk away is a most delightful big park with 4 professional tennis courts, a large pond with ducks, wild life, a beautiful rose garden, a children play area and swings.
Ideal for those who want to experience rural French village life, but still want a choice of activities.
The large games room, nearby lake and tennis courts means there's always something to do!
The lovely garden patio area with hammocks perfect to relax on sunny days

Welcome to Maison de la botte
We've owned Maisondelabotte since 2006, and have never looked back, we viewed the property for the first time in the December 2005, and was so
surprised to see that the owners were having a barbecue, which
immediately ticked some of the boxes for me, hot summers & mild winters
and the Minervois region is known for its fine wines, what a good place for my mum to retire ! the slower pace of life and the lovely weather.
It was love at first sight, Maisondelabotte with its own gardens,
tucked away in the centre of Olonzac, was built around 350 years and
owes it's majestic form to its previous owner, a very wealthy wine
maker!. A typical Maison De Maitre , the original name of the house is
Maisondelabotte and was named after the street in which it is located (
Rue De La Botte) The street dates from around 1317, and is so named
because it is shaped like a boot. I loved the tranquility and privacy of
the house, once the iron gates are closed, you are in a world of your
own, and most importantly the children are very safe. Maisondelabotte
is 'a home' rather than just a' house' we live here when not rented. The
gardens are stunning.
A step outside into the heart of the village, you'll find bakers, cafes,
parks, tennis club, and the supermarket and good restaurants are just on
your doorstep. Olonzac is an ideal base to explore the surrounding
countryside and mountains of the local area to the beautiful beaches of
the mediterranean sea, Narbonne & Beziers only 30 minutes away. The
recreational lake Jouarres is 3mins away by car, the lake is In a
natural setting, a tranquil place with its beach and its shady pinewood,
at the edge of Canal Du Midi. Just wonderful !

Maisondelabotte is simply a great place for a relaxing holiday and
especially good for the children, it has everything on offer either in

The house-keeper or myself would be on hand to assist and advise you
