This cabin was perfect for our family vacation. It had everything we needed, including a fully stocked kitchen and cozy bedrooms. The location was peaceful and beautiful, making it easy to relax and enjoy quality time together. The hosts were incredibly responsive and helpful, making the entire experience smooth and stress-free.
Clean and comfortable, well-stocked with basics. Bonuses: view of the lake from the large windows, dimmer switches on all lights, and large deck/yard to enjoy.
What a nice place. All you could ask for in a getaway cabin. Everything was clean, modern, and in good condition. We would highly recommend and would love to return ourselves for another future stay.
Communicating with Kevin was easy and he was very detailed with instructions. We thoroughly enjoyed our stay here. They provided us with never ending things to do and have fun. We especially enjoyed using the kayaks and the pedal boat. We fished and caught 2 bass, 1 perch, 1 snakehead, 3 blue gills and 1 baby northern pike. Target and big supermarkets are a quick 40 min ride away. Bring your own paper products, soaps, and laundry pods if you feel like you'll need more. Kevin, thank you for opening up your pet friendly cabin for us to use. We appreciate your hospitality!
This was one of the best stays I've had at a vacation rental. Kevin (our host) was so communicative and gave us very thorough check-in and check-out instructions.
We hosted our wedding at my family's property on the same lake, so this cabin was used to house myself and my maid-of-honor one night, and me and my new husband the second. It was the perfect escape from the hustle and bustle. Private and felt very secluded even though there are neighbors very close.
It's my favorite lake in the world, so I'm biased but this is a great option to stay if you're looking for a respite in the northwoods!

Beautiful view of the lake from the deck. The décor of the inside of the cabin was nice.
When we started to settle in we found that some areas we not clean. The dining room table had dog hair all over. The refrigerator, coffee maker, utensils and around the toilet were all dirty. Grabbed a bowl for a salad, it was dirty and had to wash. The cabin was nice, just found some things that need attention. Thank you for the use of your cabin. It was only 12 min from our property.

Hello!
I apologize for the dirty dishes, toilet and table. The cleaning service I hire will ensure those items are taken care of for all future guest visits.
Sorry again!
I am glad you had a great time with the rest of the cabin and the "great" outdoors.
Please come back any time!

Kevin's property is well stocked with most everything you need. It was clean and well maintained. Lakes are usually buggy. There were still bugs but he made efforts to lessen their impact.
Knotty pine interior with a full stocked unit for all your needs. Water activities for all your family. Owner communicated well with any questions. Quiet with lots of wildlife. (Black bear, deer, loons.) Neighbor dog came over often to say hi and to look for food. The lakeshore around the dock was full of weeds. We enjoyed the amenities of the property.
This property was not cleaned prior to our arrival. The owner lists it as "Covid Clean", it is not. There was urine around the base of the toilet, hair in the shower, and mold on the shower curtain. There was grease on top of the stove, on the front of the stove and on the knobs. There were dead flies in the tupperware drawer, the floor was filthy and there were crumbs all over the tablecloth. Additionally, he sends instructions two days prior to your arrival notifying you that you have to take your garbage with you, literally. He offers nowhere to take it, only suggests to take it home - that is impossible when you're from out of town. The paddles for the canoe are sun damaged and splintered. We left a day early it was so bad. I would not recommend this home to anyone.
The property was as advertised, with great outdoor living spaces and use of kayaks and a canoe. A very nice lake to kayak on, with few cabins and beautiful Shoreline. Also lovely swimming from the diving raft.
We really enjoyed our stay at this lake cabin. It has 2 bedrooms, a deck, with a nice view of the lake. There is a canoe and kayaks available to use. The cabin has electric heat and a cast iron wood heater. The thermostat for the electric heaters in the main room was hard to find - it is in the pantry cabinet. The driveway to the cabin is fairly steep. If there is snow I would park at the more level spot at the end of the driveway by the road unless you have 4 wheel drive. It is in a fairly remote area. You can see the milky way at night. The nearest town is Remer about a 25 minute drive from the cabin.
Kevin's property is exactly as described. It is just the right amount of secluded, yet not too far for a day trip to Crosby or Grand Rapids. The cabin provided the exactly weekend getaway we were looking for. October highlights: the fall colors and quiet lake.
Went to Kevin’s place for a few days to get out of the city with my wife. The place was great, quiet, private lot. Lots of amenities provided (kayaking, paddle board..etc) We will hopefully be back next summer!
The cabin was really cute, the lake was peaceful and the sunsets were gorgeous! The kids had fun fishing, kayaking and playing on the raft. The communication was also great with the owner.
The property was just as promised in the listing. The view of the lake at sunrise was just amazing. We were able to cook smores at the fire pit, Kayak & canoe on the lake (bring your own life jackets) and make a couple of meals.
I drive a Tesla and Kevin was kind enough to let me plug in. The outlet is right by the door.
We'll definitely come back here.

Great Cabin!
Owner was a great communicator, accommodations were clean, well thought out, and attractive. We didn't spend much time at the rental because we were visiting another cabin for the majority of our trip, but the sleeping situation was perfect for our needs. We'd definitely go back and take advantage of the available water sports, fire pit, and deck. Three minor downsides were the lack of air circulation in the bedrooms (fans are needed if you're there during the hot summer months), lots of deer flies and mosquitos (but those are typical Northern MN issues, just pack DEET), and the shower is pretty narrow. Not critical issues, just be aware. ALSO, the washer/ dryer was a major plus. Totally great cabin. Highly recommend! Thanks Kevin! :)

Great Cabin!
I'd definitely stay here again. The cabin was clean, well organized, and attractive. The owner was a great communicator, quick to reply, and courteous. We were spending the majority of our time at our family cabin on another lake, so we didn't get to take advantage of the water sports, fire pit, deck view or yard... but all those amenities were enticing. The washer/ dryer was a huge plus. The only minor downsides were the small shower stall, lack of air circulation in the bedrooms, and the abundant deer flies (which is just a location disadvantage, bring DEET if you'll be in Northern MN during the summer). Overall a great experience!
