Villa in Protaras, Nr. Konnos Bay, Cyprus - Close To The Superb Konnos Bay, A favourite with Wedding Parties Attending at Grecian Park Hotel
Hi, My name is Roger, I`m 50 something and live in the south of Birmingham. Married, with a grown up family.
Roger purchased this Villa in 2008
Why Roger chose Protaras
When in Cyprus for our daughters wedding a few of us went out on a boat from Konnos Bay on the morning of the wedding "to blow those cobwebs away". We saw the land up for sale and could not resist buying it as it is in such a great location and has everything needed to make a great holiday year after year.
What makes this Villa unique
The resorts of Protaras and Aiya Napa are just a few minutes away. After a night out you can return to the villa which is set in a quiet residential cul-de-sac and get a good nights sleep away from the typical "tourist living quarters". The delightful Konnos Bay is a short walk away. This Bay has probably the best beach and best watersports on the east coast.

Fab villa, great owners, great communication, lovely area, pool is brilliant. Would go back!
Thank you for your kind comments.
We are delighted you had a fantastic time at the villa and made full use of our great pool.
We look forward to welcoming you back again in the future as one of our ever increasing number of returning guests.
Villa was very easy to access with the key safe at front door. Very clean & tidy. Wifi downstairs only, signal fine. Pool fantastic, great size & very clean. 5 minute walk from bus stops to Protaras & Ayia Napa with regular service, used the bus most even though we had a car. Will definitely be back. Thanks Roger!
Solid for families, but utilitarian
My 11 year old son and I stayed here for 9 days. We travel extensively. (30 units a year) This is a good property for a family. It is utilitarian in its nature. Pool was well maintained, couches were comfortable and it’s close to the bay via a short walk with stellar snorkeling close. As many management companies do, it has become militaristic in its rules and it was a tad sterile and lacked warmth. Little things would easily place it back above the line of mediocrity. Example: With no dish washer, they should provide dish soap and decent cleaning devices as half the pieces on the shelves were washed by previous tenants and were in need of rewash. The cleaning person was wonderful when she came on our last day and this is not on her as she washes only what is left in sink I’m sure. Air conditioning upstairs is regulated. There is a big regulation/timer box and laminated rules list that gives you a set credit for the time you are there and if you exceed it you are to be charged. Why add the extra anxiety to people on holiday for a few euros? WiFi works in the main living space downstairs but the signal won’t extend upstairs. If these seem petty, stay here with kids. The differences between good and great are in the details. All in all it is a good functional home for a family, with pool toys and a great outdoor area (many chairs, umbrella and tables) but it fell short for us a bit.
Thanks for you review,We aim to provide a great villa for our guests and we will look at the minor points you raised, although we have never been asked about a dishwasher. As with all our previous guests I am pleased you had a good time at Paradiso Villa.
Very clean throughout. Pool was lovely. Bedrooms were very comfortable. Liked the area. Car required
We enjoyed our stay at the Villa Paradiso. Roger (the owner) was very good with the communication throughout. The villa is very clean and tidy and has everything you would need for a great holiday. The bedrooms are very comfortable with plenty of wardrobe space. The bathrooms were both very clean. We had a couple of minor issues while we were there and they were sorted out very quickly by the local agent. The pool is newly refurbished so it was clean and gets the sun all day. The pool cleaner was a regular morning visitor. The garden backs on to the local taverna, which worried us at first, but we discovered they did great food and we never heard any noise for the entire 2 weeks of our stay. The only small moan would be the tv which uses the internet for a signal, it can be very frustrating at times. Wifi was ok. The location was good for us, it’s near a lovely beach and around a 5 minute drive to town. Car will definitely be needed. Local supermarket for bits and pieces about a 5 minute walk. Local town was lively with lots of entertainment, good food and great beaches. Would definitely go again.
We are delighted to hear, that like all our previous guests, you had a great time at Paradiso Villa! We look forward to hearing from you again in the future and welcoming you to our ever growing 'Returning Guest Club'. Regards
The villa was nice and clean and just down the hill from Grecian Hotel.
We had a great week .Konnos Bay is nearest beach and is beautiful ,good if your fit or have a car as it's a long way down and up those steps.
We arrived late at night there was no shops open in this area so could not get any drinking water .....would have been nice if company thought of this and least left a big bottle in fridge or welcome pack. There is a tv very small but worked. The tavern is at end of garden they do great Greek food and light snacks at lunch. Folder in villa gives all infomation you need if not call the number and they will find out for you.I had a tooth ache they gave me directions to dentist and found them very helpful when aircon leeked. All in all well worth money but only one bathroom so more than four could cause problems getting ready esp if all ladies .Also needs another umbrella for shade near pool.
Konnos Bay is just a 10 minute walk from the villa and has one of the most popular beaches on the east coast. It offers a great choice of water sports and a lovely clean beach with the sea gently sloping away. Just a little further past this bay you have the stunning area of Cape Greco, an area of outstanding beauty with its National Park area and sandy beaches.
Fly to Larnaca – Paradiso Villa is just a 45 minute drive from the airport. Our management company will be pleased to arrange car hire for you at competitive rates. Alternatively they will be pleased to arrange airport transfers for your party - please ask for a quote.
Protaras is the most popular resort in southern Cyprus. It is a very lively family resort which offers something for everyone. Its wide variety of bars and restaurants cater for all tastes and budgets. A five minute taxi/bus ride east from Paradiso villa will take you to join the lively night life and bustling holiday resort atmosphere on the main Protaras strip. Fig Tree Bay is one of the best well known beaches in the world and is well worth a visit, but our favourite is Konnos Bay.
In the evenings you can go into the centre of Protaras, hop on the bus or even take a short taxi ride in Aiya Napa (8km). Whatever your choice you will not be disappointed. Every day and every evening you can party or relax as you wish. The choice is yours. The only thing that will not change is that you will be in a luxury villa for your entire stay. The many bars offer entertainment including tribute bands, karaoke and live music. It is not uncommon to be able to see the likes of Robbie Williams, Tom Jones and even Elvis on the same night on the strip! You will find that children are welcome in bars and indeed their entertainment is also catered for early evenings in many places. When dining out on the strip you are spoilt for choice as there are many good quality restaurants to choose from, English, Chinese, Japanese, Italian, Indian, Cypriot, the list seems endless! The only problem you then face is asking yourselves 'have I got time to go back to that restaurant we were at last night again before we go home!' During the day Protaras returns to an area with gift shops, quaint boutiques and opticians where you can get a real bargain on designer glasses.
