Finca Alta Cocina and it´s guest accommodation - Villa Madreselva, are in six acres of private grounds with great views. They are in a tranquil valley with lots of olive trees and unspoilt scenery. The peaceful atmosphere occasionaly breaks the sound of bells from the passing herd of goats or sheep. The side of a small mountain is part of the grounds, which you can scramble up if you are feeling energetic. There is a super 12-metre x 6-metre pool with sun loungers and comfortably furnished pergolas, where you can relax away from the sun and perhaps enjoy a quiet read, glass of wine - or both. Nearest town of Algodonales is 7km away. At one end of a big central square is the church with the children´s playground and plenty of bars, cafes, restaurants, shops and banks - and fresh running water from the mountains which you can bottle at the town's two fountains. Ronda, the most dramatic pueblo blanco (white hill town) in the whole of Spain, is 35 min away. The villa is a great base for trips to beautiful Seville (1 hour) and historic Cadiz (75 minutes) with its long, wide golden beach. Marbella and Malaga are a 90-minute drive, granada is 2 hours.
