Caribbean Dawn - A Large family Villa With Access to a on-site Private Beach

Villa Caribbean Dawn has the flavours of an authentic Caribbean villa. It is located in Mammee Bay Estate close to Ocho Rios town centre. This is an area of private holiday villas and residential homes with access to Mammee Bay private beach club.

The villa was built in the 50’s and we’ve renovated and furnished with a Caribbean vibe. For instance, we had our kitchen built out of Spanish Elm by a local craftsman. The wood is native to Central America and the Caribbean. We’ve furnished our bedrooms with Bamboo and Wicker. This is a space where you can just chill out and relax, it’s home from home! Come on in and check us out. You enter via a nice patio which has the original stone floor. It leads into a huge lounging area that is separated by two archways at the centre. Our Lignum Vitae tree is just a few feet from the lounge, the scent from it fills the air. It’s nice to know that we have a tree that bears the national flower of Jamaica.

Our kitchen is well equipped which leads from the lounge and flows into a separate dining area. From there you can access a courtyard area at the back that steps up to the back of the garden.

The villa has 4 bedrooms and 3 bathrooms which is ideal for families and friends to share. Two of the bedrooms are en-suit and are situated away from each other at opposite ends of the villa. You will have all the privacy you need.

For those who want a longer stay, we also offer a Winter Snowbird package. Guests have the opportunity to spend some of the winter months at a private villa. This could be your home from home where you can just relax and forget about the cold weather and simply enjoy the Jamaican sun.

The Bamboo Master is a large room with a smart television, a private kitchenette and en-suite shower room. This room has direct access to the patio.

The Mahogany Master is a large room with a smart television, walk-in closet and en-suite bathroom. This room has direct access to a courtyard garden. Both Master rooms have full use of the entire villa and gardens.

The large lounging area has cable television, music system, and a games area. It steps-down to our ¾ acre garden with tropical fruit bearing trees such as Mangos, Coconuts, Breadfruit, Banana and Ackee. Ackee is the main ingredient of the national dish of Jamaica, Ackee and saltfish.

We want you to have a great stay at Caribbean Dawn. You will be well looked after by our family helper who will take care of all the domestics. Our Guest Relations Manager will be on hand to take care of any queries you may have and our Gardener will keep the garden looking lovely.

The secure area where our villa is located has a beautiful private beach, which has a restaurant & bar and a gift shop.

The vista from the beach is amazing. Your gaze can follow the curve of the bay all the way down to the cruise ship pier in Ocho Rios. (Take a look at the photo that my husband took). The beach is protected by a coral reef just a few strokes from shore.

If like me, you spend a lot of time in your car dealing with the hustle and bustle of life, you'll appreciate the 10/12 minutes peaceful walk to the beach. You will enjoy the pretty walk, taking-in the nice homes in this exclusive area. What's more, you'll hardly encounter traffic. The beach within Mammee Bay Estate is limited to residents and guests only.
