My Grandmother moved into the house in 1927, my father was born here and we enjoyed many family holidays in the house.
It was a fascinating place to visit as a child. Granny cooked in the Inglenook fireplace, with the cold water tap outside the back door and loo at the bottom of the garden.
Dad hired a black & white TV to watch the 1966 World Cup Final. Good investment it turned out!
The renown surrounding beaches & countryside are a short drive away taking you to
the Teifi Estuary & Poppet Sands & beaches at Mwnt, Penbryn, Tresaith, Llangranogg, Aberporth & Newport Sands. There is an 18 hole golf course at Gwbert opposite Cardigan Island.
For walkers the Ceredigion & Pembrokeshire Coastal Paths are nearby.
You can of course, just take it easy & enjoy the large back garden & look out at the River Teifi & watch the boats, canoes & birds go by.

Why they chose this property

The house is in a peaceful location tucked away in between St Mary's Church & the River Teifi in the oldest part of Cardigan. It has an old cottage feel with thick stone walls & wooden beams with a modern extension at the back.
The house is in a very handy location for longer day trips into Pembrokeshire and Ceredigion.

What makes this property unique

The house has a relaxed atmosphere & is in a very peaceful setting with many practical amenities close by within walking distance.
The surrounding countryside & beaches, Poppit Sands, Tresaith, Llangranogg, Penbryn & Mwnt are within a few miles, offering lovely sandy beaches, coastal walks and nice cafes .
Within walking or cycling distance from the house is the Welsh Wildlife Centre within the Teifi Marshes Nature Reserve, with nearby Cilgerran Castle.
A short walk uptown is Cardigan Castle with tours & live shows & Theatre Mwldan for movies & live performances. Also for shops, cafes and restaurants.

Up the road next to St Dogmaels Abbey on Tuesday morning (10-1pm) is the wonderful (BBC Food & Farming Award 2016 Winners): St Dogmaels Local Producers Market.
Also close by Glebelands Market Garden (Thurs-Sunday) for home grown fresh produce.
Pembrokeshire Fish Week: June/July
New Quay Music Festival: August
Cardigan River & Food Festival: August
Ceredigion Walking Festival in September
