The Linhay is a modern 2 bedroom semi detached property in the rural community of Redburn. Surrounded by beautiful scenery and wildlife it is a perfect base for walkers, birdwatchers, or those simply seeking peace and tranquility. It consists of a sitting/dining room, well-equipped kitchen, two bedrooms, one with a double bed and the other with a single bed plus bunk beds, and a bathroom with bath and separate shower. Patio doors lead from the living room on to a decked area with table and chairs, and a large garden area. The property is all on one level with no step at the front door, and so is suitable for those with limited mobility.
Redburn Cafe and Gifts is just 100m away, and Dundreggan Rewilding Centre is 1 km away, with it's own cafe and various lovely walking trails - ideal for exercising dogs.

Wonderfull stay

Jill and Anthony are very friendly and accommodating. The house is a great starting point for tours in the Highlands and is very well maintained. We'd love to come back here.

Perfect base

Excellent base for a 2 week break in the Highlands. The property had everything required for self-catering. We were also able to use the owner's garage to store our mountain bikes. Would definitely recommend the property for anyone who wants to get away from it all.

The ideal place to stay in The Inverness

We had a wonderful stay in Jill and Tony's home. The place was very impeccably clean, spacious, with everything you need to feel good. The owners are discreet and very kind, very welcoming. The house is very well located for visiting the inverness, 30 minutes from Loch Ness Centre and 1h30 from the Isle of Skye, but it is also pleasant to stay there to relax because the surroundings are beautiful. And a few steps away you can admire the famous highlands cows!

Staying in the Highlands

The Linhay is located in a beautiful spot that is central to many things to see and do in the Highlands of Scotland. The beds are comfortable, the shower is great and the kitchen is well equipped. The owners are right next door so always available to help. Dog friendly with great dog walks nearby, but keep in mind when booking, the shared backyard is unfenced and dog must not be left alone in the house.

A perfect location for a highland holiday

The cottage was extremely clean, warm and cosy. It was equiped with everything you could possibly need and was very pleasantly furnished and spacious. The outside area was wonderful and despite the cold and damp weather, it was a joy to watch the birds in the garden enjoying the well-filled feeders everyday. The location was great for exploring the whole of the Great Glen with so many places to visit, but was also quiet for restoring mind and spirit in the beautiful tranquillity of the Scottish mountains.

Het meubilair is sterk verouderd. Zetel heel oncomfortabel, tussen de kussens vol haar en etensresten. Als je met 4 of 5 zou logeren is het wel heel beneden.

I am very sorry that you did not find the Linhay comfortable. I was particularly saddened that you did not find it as clean as you would expect. It is my priority that the place is cleaned very thoroughly and (thankfully) our guests usually find it spotless. I always clean between and behind the sofa cushions as far as I can comfortably push my hand, but I have now checked, and when I forced my hand down further I was able to find some bits and fluff, so I will add this to my cleaning routine.

Die Wohnung ist angenehm ruhig gelegen, aber man kommt mit dem Auto gut überall hin. Die Wohnung selbst war sauber, die Küche hatte alles, was man zum Kochen braucht. Da der nächste größere Lebensmittelladen 18min weg ist in Fort Augustus, lohnt es sich einen größeren Einkauf zu machen. Daneben ist das Redburn Café, das hatte aber leider fast durchgehend zu, wir wollten da eigentlich gerne einen Kuchen essen gehen. Und in unmittelbarer Nähe ist das Rewilding Center, das tolle vorgegebene Wanderrouten hat von 30min bis 2Stunden. Auch sehr lohnenswert. Also wenn man Ruhe und Abgeschiedenheit sucht, ist die Wohnung perfekt. Die Vermieter waren sehr nett und haben immer ihre Hilfe angeboten. Wir fanden es schön, etwas weiter weg von den Touristenmassen zu sein.
