Beautiful Villa Pandora in Calpe is within easy reach of town and beaches

Spacious detached house/villa with a private pool in a safe and established residential area of Calpe within easy reach of the town and beaches.

Completely private and secluded with no onlookers, Villa Pandora is very peaceful with lovely gardens and has an outside summer kitchen with shaded seating area, barbeque and table tennis table. The villa benefits from sun all day long and has beautiful valley and mountain views down to the sea.

On the ground floor, the accommodation comprises of an entrance area, dining room, comfortable living room and a fully fitted kitchen with breakfast bar and separate pantry offering an abundance of cookware. There is a large “naya” with log burner and relaxing seating with access to the pool terrace and summer kitchen. Across the pool terrace is a sunbathing area and steps leading down to the garden and the pool has Roman steps leading in to it. At one end of the naya, is a double bedroom (king) with ensuite shower room and dressing area and a corridor off the living room, are two further bedrooms (a double and a twin) and a shower room. From the front door and dining room area, is a staircase leading to the upper level, which has a landing, a large bathroom with Jacuzzi bath and shower, a double bedroom (king) leading out to a covered terrace and a further double bedroom (super king) with beautiful views and also has a 120 x 60 cm cot. The layout makes the villa ideal for two families sharing.

The property is fully equipped with Wi-Fi throughout, British TV, DVD player in the lounge along with a selection of DVDs, books and games. There is a washing machine, dishwasher, tall side-by-side fridge and freezer in the pantry, iron and ironing board. There are electric fans and air conditioning in all 5 bedrooms. Bathroom towels, bed linen and pool towels are provided (not to be taken to the beach). Outside provides sun loungers and chairs with cushions and parasols and there is a cool box to take to the beach or on excursions. In the summer kitchen outside, there is a gas BBQ.

120 x 60 cm cot in upstairs bedroom 5 with mosquito net, bedding and dresser for babies things. As well as an Ikea Antilop high chair and a baby bath. Also a large waterproof mat for safe play outside on the terrace/pool area. Please contact owner regarding further baby and toddler amenities.

Situated a 5 minute drive from supermarkets, restaurants, bars and the town itself boasting wonderful sea front promenades with bars and restaurants and beautiful Blue Flag sandy beaches with children's play areas.

Calpe is within an hours drive of both Alicante and Valencia airports and a short drive from the neighbouring towns of Altea, Moraira, Javea and Benidorm which offer fantastic golf courses, Terra Mitica theme park, Aqualandia water park, Mundomar animal attraction and the ferry from Denia takes you straight across to Ibiza.

Calpe is a popular tourist destination for all nationalities, especially the Spanish who holiday here from the cities of Madrid and Barcelona. It has around 13,000 habitants and is known for its rock called the Penon de lfach. This massive rock has been inspiring people from everywhere to come and enjoy the nearly perfect view around the bays and the Costa Blanca. It can be reached either by the A-7 highway or the N-332 national road, which I would recommend using. The national road really gives you the kind of holiday feeling as it leads you to Calpe along the coastline up from Alicante. There are many walking clubs and cycling is a very popular past time with the picturesque views along the N-332 coastal road.

There is plenty to see in Calpe. The two churches are certainly worth a visit. Close to each other, the Iglesia Antigua and the church Senora de las Nieves are both located in the centre of Calpe in the old town. Calpe's archaeological museum can be found just opposite at the Plaza de la Villa showing various findings from the 4th to the 8th century. Alongside you'll find Roman ruins and old Roman baths (Bano de la Reina) together with remains of an old tower, the Torreon de la Peca. For more local culture, you could visit the Museo Fester, which explains the local Moors and Christians "fiesta" and all its traditions.

Calpe's two main beaches (playas) are on either side of the Penon de Ifach rock, with the famous port and its fantastic restaurants in the middle. Apart from the beautiful sandy beaches are many pebble beaches and rocky coves along the coast line in both directions and many ports (puertos) housing spectacular boats and lovely coffee shops and restaurants. Calpe offers many kilometres of excellent swimming and surfing possibilities with diving schools, kite surfing, jet ski hire and much more.

Changeover day is on a Saturday but this could be changed in low season. Payment is in Pounds Sterling but Euros may be accepted if agreed with the owner before booking.

IMPORTANT INFORMATION FOR GUESTS:

A refundable security deposit of £200 per booking will be payable with the booking payment or in cash upon arrival (if agreed with the owner before booking) and will be returned post-departure (by bank transfer or PayPal) following a thorough inspection of the property, an inventory check and electricity consumption enquiry. This can take up to 28 days. Small things getting broken are fine and please just let the owner know so she can replace for the next guests but excessive use of air conditioning (being left on all day and night or when guests go out) and toilet blockages from excessive paper, nappies or sanitary products being flushed down the toilets, which results in Septic tank emptying/unblocking, along with damage to key items/appliances (air conditioning units and/or remotes, TV, satellite receiver, DVD player and/or remotes, fridges, freezer, oven, microwave etc), will affect your security deposit, which will be subject to the property owner's discretion.

The property is strictly no smoking and no pets but smoking outside is acceptable as long as cigarette butts are disposed of carefully and not left on the floor or in plant pots/flower beds. Although none were seen last year, there is a possibility of neighbouring, stray or wild cats on the property on occasion and guests are kindly asked not to feed them, encourage them or let them inside the house please.

There is a guest information book that must be read upon arrival. It gives useful tips on supermarkets, rubbish disposal and wifi connection and also safety information on the water, electric, gas and certain appliances. The owner is contactable 24/7 and has reliable contacts locally to assist/solve any problems that may arise during your stay. There is nothing that cannot be sorted out.

Guests are to be advised that the property is not brand new and has been well visited but well loved and cared for. Sometimes things go wrong or don't work as well as they should - as in any home - and if anything like this happens during your stay, please contact the property owner who will ensure things are seen to, repaired or replaced as soon as possible, subject to item/servicemen availability and certainly within 48 hours.

La casa es una casa grande, con un montón de espacio y una piscina grande con trampolín. La casa es muy cómoda, la cocina tiene una despensa grande con todo lo necesario, un frigorífico y congelador grande, platos, lavadora, cafetera, micro...todo lo necesario. La limpieza muy muy buena, toallas de piscina limpias para todos los inquilinos, ropa de cama limpia, baños, cocina, todo limpio y perfecto. La ubicación está un poco escondida (a unos 20 minutos de las playas). Para familias hasta 10 personas es perfecta.

Una casa muy grande, con todo lo necesario , la piscina enorme, barbacoa , en una urbanización muy tranquila y a 10 minutos en coche de todo : playas, tiendas, paseo marítimo, el Peñón. Unas vacaciones tranquilas e inolvidables. Casa recomendable para grupos ya que no falta de nada.

Villa très agréable!
Villa très agréable, très spacieuse, bien équipée (climatisation dans toutes les chambres, barbecue, cuisine extérieure, draps de bains, draps…), pas de vis à vis avec les voisins, quartier calme. Grande piscine privée. Beaucoup de choses à visiter autour, de belles randonnées en bord de mer. Par contre il faut une voiture, on ne peut pas aller à la plage à pied, ni faire les courses. A 5-10 minutes en voiture. Charlotte est très disponible, prête à régler les petits soucis si besoin. A recommander pour 5-10 personnes!

Lovely Villa and Owner highly recommend
Had a fabulous holiday here at Villa Pandora, enjoyed by the whole family kids, adults and grandma. Host Charlotte was amazing, there 24 hours a day if we needed anything and even had extra gas for the BBQ delivered to us within 30 mins of notifying her. Couldn’t have asked for a better service. Villa itself is beautiful, has an amazing private pool and lots of space for group bookings to still have personal space. Would definitely advise hiring a car out as although all amenities are within 5/10 minute drive, it is quite a distance by foot. We stayed for a week and hired out a car for 3 days easily from the car hire company in the town. Highly recommend booking a holiday here, you will not regret it, we will definitely be returning in the future 😀Thank you for having us!

What a fantastic place for a family to share
Villa Pandora is a fantastic villa for a large family/families. The pool is fantastic and the kids spent the majority of their time in there. Lots of room inside too and a perfect location to visit the wonderful beach at Calpe
