So cute, very clean, very well stocked.Just a bit further from town, but easy w taxi. Would stay again. Owner very nice! Note: bathroom is on ground floor, bedroom upstairs. Worked out fine!
Absolutely fabulous location. Very close to restaurants, a small supermarket and local pub. Cosey cottage behind the main house with a country feel and quiet backyard. Hosts were amazing and went above and beyond to help with every need.
It was the perfect little hideaway cottage. Very homely, beautifully furnished and the host’s couldn’t have been more helpful. We would highly recommend.
This was our loveliest accommodation in the UK! Sam and Tim could not have been kinder and we felt like we were staying with good friends. From supplying orange juice and croissants to helping us with IT problems, these hosts were legends! The cottage is charming: beautifully furnished and decorated, very clean and extremely comfortable. There is a lovely view of the garden from the windows and it’s peaceful, private and quiet. The Clockhouse is well located, just a short bus ride or drive to Windsor Castle. Old Windsor is a very pretty location. We were pleased that we had off street parking as well.I would love to return and stay here again!

Home from home and very dog friendly
My husband and I stayed here for a couple of nights last week and were very comfortable.
The accommodation is very tastefully decorated with shabby chic furniture.
The bed is the most comfortable one I've been in away from home for a long time.
Dogs were made very welcome and even had little friends from next door knocking door for them to go out into yard.
Can highly recommend the place and would use again.
Sam is very friendly and made up a lovely welcome pack for our arrival.
Only thing I'd say it needs is a clothes horse if your there for a few days and want to do a wash.

Comfortable and unusual
We had a lovely 4 nights in this property. Unusual because the sitting room and bedroom were as one room on the first floor, the kitchen, dining and bathroom were on the ground floor. We were warmly welcomed by Sam who left us with a welcome pack of essentials, a convenience store and Italian restaurant were just round the corner which was very handy. Windsor Horse Show which we attended was just a couple of miles away and Windsor town was just a 10 minute car drive away. All in all a very pleasant stay

Lovely clean Apartment (perfect)
We just spent a very enjoyable long weekend at this charming apartment.
On arrival we were warmly greeted by the owner Sam who along with Tim made us feel so very welcome throughout our stay, the apartment itself was very well presented with a pleasantly warm, peaceful & tranquil feel inside. (perfect for a romantic getaway for couples)
Clean towels & bedding etc were also provided by the lovely owners. The cleanliness was of a very high standard, and the apartment is actually a lot more spacious and bigger than appears in the photos and was equipped with everything that we could have possibly imagined that we would need for a comfortable stay. It is also very ideally situated if you want to explore Windsor, just 5 mins by car to Windsor castle and Windsor town centre, and very close to the river with stunning picturesque scenery. Nearby there are plenty of shops and pubs and a restaurant literally a minute’s walk away (toby carvery), Overall staying at this Apartment was a wonderful experience and we will have no hesitation in going back to stay there again. Thanks so much to Sam & Tim, we will see you both again very soon. Regards, Kam & Donna xx

A relaxing break
A lovely place to stay. We really needed a peaceful place where we could just stop and relax and the large cosy lounge gave us just that. The Mediterranean feel to the cottage with the olive tree, vine and general décor helped with that gentle pace of life. The owners' welcome and laid back attitude also made it a real 'home from home'. Thank you for thinking of the little things like providing milk, bread and wine on our arrival - much appreciated.

About the host
Hosted by Sam Story
Hi
We are a busy family, with a lovely Border Collie dog. I work from home selling old French house and garden pieces, while my partner is a chef and yoga teacher. I love gorgeous things, so I like my job, as well as gardening and great food. I'm quite a relaxed person. I do like people, but do understand people need to have their space.
Why they chose this property
Windsor and Old Windsor for me is quite a special place, as I love the countryside as well as a great town, and here we have both. It has a village feel to Old Windsor and yet it is only 30 mins to Richmond and one hour to central London. Train stations are very accessible only 5 mins by car or taxi.
What makes this property unique
Legoland is 10 min drive from here. Windsor Castle 3 mins drive. Windsor town 3 mins drive. Trains to London are on our doorstep, 5 mins away. It is around an hour into London Waterloo If you are relaxing here, lovely walks around the Windsor Great Park, with walking distance to convenient store, as well as a hairdressers, beauty salon, great Indian and Italian restaurants and takeaways - fish and chips and Chinese. The property I am renting is situated behind my house and has a large courtyard in between, with a long garden behind, so it does have space around the property. I do have a Border Collie, Wilf, who is super friendly. It is very home from home here and instead of staying in a small hotel room in Windsor, for roughly the same amount, one gets a lot more here, space wise. And ambience !! We also have the services of a professional private chef, and yoga teacher, who happens to live in the main house
