About this property

Luxury ⭐ Pool ⭐ Hot Tub ⭐ Wine Country Views

Casa Luna Verano is a spacious 2 bedroom plus den home in a quiet, country neighborhood just ten minutes away from the Sonoma Plaza. The entire house including the kitchen and 3 bathrooms were renovated between 2019-2022. There is a beautiful pool, hot tub and patio area with outdoor daybeds for lounging. It's a perfect base for exploring Sonoma wine country! Note: Pool is solar heated; generally comfortable temperature from late April to mid October (dependent on sunny weather).

The great room has large window walls that can be opened up for the ultimate in indoor-outdoor living. The chef's kitchen includes refrigerator, microwave, gas cooktop, double ovens, a warming drawer and dishwasher; full set of dishes, pots, pans, glasses and barware. You'll usually fine basic pantry items as well (oil, seasonings, etc). If you use a pinch of salt, no need to replace it - but if you bake a cake, please replace what you use from the pantry!

The pool is surrounded by oak trees, lavender, and creeping manzanita. There's a pool shade structure with a series of comfy day beds, perfect for relaxing with a glass of wine or reading a book, once you've had enough sun for the day. The back patio offers al fresco dining with a view of golden grasses, hundred year old oak trees and the Mayacamas mountains framing Sonoma Valley.

We wanted to sleep well in our home, and you will too! The master bedroom and the den each have a high end king size mattress (Tuft and Needle and Keetsa memory foam); the other bedroom a queen size Tuft and Needle. Note to European guests: these are US mattress sizes, King= 193cm x 203cm; Queen= 152cm x 203cm. All feature high thread count cotton sheets, feather pillows and blackout shades, to help ensure you have a quiet and dark bedroom as long as you want to sleep.

A high BTU gas grill is available on the patio. The formal dining table has comfortable seating for 12, the maximum number of daytime guests permitted by our Sonoma County vacation rental permit. There is high speed Internet, and a smart TV in the primary bedroom with common apps and Chromecast (no cable). See notes about Sonoma's noise ordinance in the "House Rules" section.

What's nearby?
• Sonoma town square is a ten minute drive (20 minutes on bicycle via the Sonoma Bike path) with fantastic restaurants, wine tasting, shopping, and the historic Sonoma Mission.
• Well over one hundred wineries in Sonoma, Glen Ellen, Kenwood, and Carneros within a 15-20 minute drive.
• Great hikes for all levels at Bartholomew Park, Jack London State Park, Sonoma Valley Regional Park, Annadel State Park, and Sugarloaf Ridge State Park, also within 15-20 minutes.
• The Fairmont Mission Inn, with a fantastic spa atop a thermal mineral spring.
• Nine art galleries on the Sonoma Gallery Walk.
• Four full-service grocery stores within a ten minute drive.

The pool is heated from solar collectors; on sunny summer days, the pool temperature is usually a luxurious 85-90 degrees (F). Our off season rates from October through April are lower as the pool is generally not a comfortable swimming temperature. The hot tub is available and heated to ~ 102 F year round. Additional pool rules and instructions will be provided after your reservation; please read these as your rental is conditional to your acceptance of these.

Please note the maximum number of overnight guests is six and the total number of guests allowed at any time is 12. The maximum number of vehicles allowed overnight is two.

SONOMA COUNTY PROHIBITS AMPLIFIED MUSIC OUTDOORS AT VACATION RENTAL PROPERTIES AT ALL TIMES. Further, we ask that you respect the ordinance's quiet hours of 9PM-7AM, we have neighbors who will call if you don't observe quiet hours. Please help us keep good relations with our neighbors; if you are enjoying a late dinner or glass of wine on the back patio, please move inside at 8:30 to avoid disturbing our neighbors.

Note: There are four Internet cameras; they are visible on the exterior eaves of the house/garages, facing 1. front door & driveway, 2. front fence gate, 3. rear fence gate, 4. pool lawn. The cameras record when there is motion. Camera #4 may record sound if there is concern about noise at the pool.

perfect getaway
Our getaway with the family was simply to relax in the wonderful world of Sonoma in a home that made us feel a little special. This home checked all the boxes. We loved the location, close to downtown, situated in a very nice neighborhood, and surrounded by mature landscaping that provided both privacy and views of distant rolling hills. It's a personal thing, but I loved the home's sense of architectural and interior design. Wish we could have stayed a day or two longer to lounge around the pool, but we plan on returning and do not hesitate to recommend this home to our family and friends.

Even Better than It Looks!
Pictures do not do this beautiful property justice. The main living and dining area is extremely large and very comfortable. The kitchen is well-equipped. The sliding doors open across the house bringing the outside in. The pool and outdoor seating areas were restful places to spend time after a busy day. The beds were comfortable. The hosts were very responsive. Loved the house and would stay again.

Amazing house and weekend
Took a girls trip up to Sonoma for the weekend. This house was perfect. The design is beautiful. The surroundings are peaceful. We thoroughly enjoyed the pool and hot tub. Close enough yet far enough away. Highly recommend. Kraig was amazing to work with and he offered up many suggestions on spas and activities. Wonderful home.
