About this property
A Romantic Getaway, traditionally restored in the Heart of Ronda!
Santa Cecilia is in the heart of the town centre. The apartment has been recently refurbished (April 2006) with a traditional theme. There are two balconies from the main apartment and also a large roof terrace, equipped with loungers, tables, chairs and a BBQ. Even though traditional, Santa Cecilia has been equipped with modern appliances so you can enjoy cooking or relaxing in one of the oldest towns in Spain. The dinning room has been furnished and decorated with a traditional theme in mind. The furniture was hand made by a local carpenter. From the balcony you have the Plaza Carmen Abela, to the right and Santa Cecilia, below. Local tapas, restaurants and bars right on your doorstep. The traditional lounge is equipped with a brand new flat screen TV and DVD/CD system. Two easy chairs and sofa allow you to laze whilst watching the latest film.

About the host
Hosted by Andrew Jones
My name is Andrew Jones and I consider myself Welsh - though I was born in England. I am married with a gorgeous wife and daughter. Since leaving school at 17 years of age, my career over the previous 26 years has been associated with electronics, IT, business and finance. About 10 years ago, my wife and I decided to purchase 2 properties. I live in Rogerstone, Newport, South Wales and for my sins support the local Rugby team - Dragons (always the under dog but a team that punches well above its weight).
Why they chose this property
I first went to Ronda by chance in 1998, whilst on Business with a good guy from Seville. His name was Jesus - but not a reincarnation of the messiah - apparently is is a very common name in Spain.
Ronda is very popular with Spanish people and is full of history and culture - the complete opposite of the sand, sea and sangria on the Costa Del Sol.
After a few visits my family and I fell in Love with the town and the people and the rest (as they say) is history.

What makes this property unique
Ronda is very popular with the Spanish and the complete opposite of the ’s most striking feature is the Puente Nuevo (New Bridge), which spans a gorge over 300 feet deep. The "new bridge" was built? 1793. That should give visitors an idea of how unchanged Ronda has been over the years.
It is the birthplace of modern bullfighting. The town’s bullfighting ring is only used once a year, at the Ferrari. This is a great time to visit and may bump into the king and queen of Spain, during their annual visit.
